I've been out Mar.18 before. For me it depends if the jam ice comes to my launch or not. If it doesn't I can launch year around more or less. Before Feb I could have boated if I wanted, but now theres about 200ft of 4ft thick Ice between me and open water. Ill try and get down there and take...
Turbo efficiency is very important, on one of my sleds I upsized the turbo and created the same amount of HP with 8lbs less boost. Cool, efficient boost makes a huge difference.
I want to try a Winder running 25lbs..........
Well theres a few vids! Thanks for that! I had knee surgery early this winter and haven't been able to get out yet. Its looking like I might be able to ride late in the spring, hopefully catch up with Chris and the guys, fingers crossed
If your meaning snowmobiling I would go somewhere else. I live 20 min west of Rocky and there is only about 2-4" in the shaded areas and no snow where the sun can get at it. Snowed about 3 inches Christmas day, thats the only snowfall since beginning of december.
A 4-5 stringer boat with a 3/16 bottom will not take hitting much, with or without plastic. The only benefit to plastic would be getting off a gravel bar once stuck, your still going to have a dent it will just be under the plastic.
I agree as well, drive as is... Putting plastic on that boat doesn't make it any stronger on the bottom and adds a lot of weight affecting performance. Its not a rock bashing boat and that won't change with plastic, you'll love it as is, the fun is getting out on the river on a beautiful day...
good to know, I have a bung on the bench I was going to try to put on next time I had it apart. Quite a long time ago I had a couple different chaincases welded up at a shop in town here, I thought it would be no big deal. thanks
