My son has a 09 400 sportsman and he snapped both rear axles at the same time just climbing a hill and they are not cheap , and now the front ones have a lot of play in them . The quad only has 700 kms on it so Im not sure if I would recomend this machine . My son is only 13 years old and this...

the axels are broke off flush with the rear case so there is nothing to hook or grab on too . Talked to polaris dealer and they say I may have to weld a bolt onto shaft and pull them out that way ?????? these to me are a weak point and the cv joints should have broke first.

Has anyone had any trouble with the rear axles breaking on this machine. My 13 yearold son was riding his the other day and broke both at the same time. Does the case have to be split to change these axles ?
