I would like to change from my 5.3L to a 6.0L. My local GM dealer can't tell me if can be done. Can I use by same computer? My local autowrecker said the blocks are the same. Has anybody done one let me know please.
:dWe got a 243rks 6000lbs dry and it takes 60 gal of water and 20 gal of beer. All I have is a 05 GM 1500 it is a good pull for a 1/2 ton. I pull on the hiway @ 100k not much more hills are fun and slow 70 or 80k.
:d:dIf I drove a Dodge I would not tell anyone, And it would be in the shop getting repairs on it. Plus the other mechanice in our shop has one (a Hemi) 340hp and my 5.3l GM stomps it. So keep your Dodge Thanks.:):)
:d:dIf you go to the Ford V10 go propane!!! We install the systems. I have a customer with a V10 getting 14 mpg on the hiway 10 in town. lots of power and you have the Superduty Ford for durability. I an a GMC man but for a heavy truck Ford would be my first and GM second I would not look at a...
We just did our first camping trip in Taylor B.C. We just got a 2009 Couger 243 w/slide. Everything works ate too good, drank good, slept good. Thanks to CARS RV did a good deal.
:d I have a 05 GMC and I would buy another in a heart beat, 700 summitguy's truck is nice been in it. (he drives too slow) I looked lots before I got mine. Look at what ever you like drive them all look at them all. You are the guy to drive it YOU ARE THE GUY TO DRIVE IT enjoy your hunt
:mad:In my local newspaper I read this from the Vancouver Province Sunday paper The owner of B.C. largest heli-ski operation is calling for a ban on snowmobiling in B.C. mountains following 19 deaths this winter. Drastic measures need to be taken to prevent further fatalities , says Mike...
:):)I removed mine off a 05GM 5.3l I got an engine code. I will have it taken out by Lightspeed out of Red Deer Alta. I now have more power and fuel econ. but my cat. showed signs of being plugged due to propane. A GM vehicle will dump 30% fuel every 90 sec. to cool the cats works on gas not on...
My sledding buddy has one for sale it is in Fort St. John B.C. I will talk to him this weekend it is 14 ft long aluminum 14in tires I will get back to you
I run a auto repair shop we do all automotive repairs and propane conversions. We are always full only two in the shop now we had 5 unable to hire good guy's even now the guy's we have found are duds (got shiny tools can't work)........WE WORK TOO LONG AND HARD........
:dYou get cleaner burning (greener) Longer oil life(cleaner) more range. On my 05 GMC I can go 1400km on the fuel I can carry, But the wife has to stop every 2-3hr for a pee stop anyways. Last year on holidays we went 3400km for $513.fuel that was in B.C. & Alberta pulling a Gulfstream 22ft...
:nono:Not natural gas. (PROPANE) The cost in Fort St. John is 6200.00 this will give you the choice of underbody or in box tanks @49.9 for propane and at 99.9 for gas and 13.5mpg it's like driving at 26mpg you do loose 1mpg on propane
:dOn a 6l GM in a 2500 4X4 longbox 3tens in a quarter mile faster in 3 out of 5 passes. Not a lot, But no power loss. Check out PRINS or IMPCO on line and look for yourself. The V10 we used PRINS
:)I agree with summitric just change the steering box. The seals don't last, see how much side play you have. Most seals don't leak the problem is mechanical.buy a box
:confused:I have a 05 gmc 1500 I am going to put Firestone air bags on what will it do to the ride with out my trailer on and how low can the air pressure be?
:dI have worked on the Ford 08 V10 we installed propane on 3 of them they work well. The guy's say the mileage is around 13.5mpg on propane @.499 and gas is .999 in Fort St. John. The power on propane is more than gas because it is injected. The one's I have driven I enjoyed good power and no...
