:dI just got back from Red Deer AB and had Cam from Lightspeed reprogramed my computer on my 5.3L 05 GM. I got a great boost in power I would say 15 to 20 % more. The shift pattern was noticeable the fuel economy great 19.4mpg now 20.5 mpg. I drove back today and it was good I will keep you guys...
:dWe put the V10s on propane more octane 105+ 13to14 mpg, good power. With propane you can afford to drive more and pulling power is great. I was at my local Ford dealer today talking about a Ford. I am not sure what I am going to do. I am a GM fan but don't like the 6.0L (bad heads) (Intake...
:realmad: Anybody get the chance to travel into the Okanagan. Vernon to Summerland the road is insane construction and traffic. The government of B.C. should have a bypass around these towns. From Monte Creek to Penticton took 4hrs. No time was ever made on this trip. TOO HOT AND NOBODY WILL...
I did the cold air intake on my 05 GMC 5.3L then pulled my 24ft trailer to the southern B.C. I noticed more power right a way 1445km on $160.00 of propane, The trailer is 6000lbs dry. The traffic is insane here from Vernon south to Summerland.
I have two very good company's that let me service their units and it is fix as required, Don't even phone us change what ever you think is unsafe then call to pick up the units. These are the people that have low to no brake downs.
:dI got a buddy with a muffler shop. For me it was cheep $300.(we both ride DOO's) but I sent another buddy to get his 05 done it was $450(he rides a cat) The noise on the outside is not bad at all and in the cab is again not bad
:realmad:I feel that safety is first, But I think we should have more road side check stops. We can't get them all because some are licenced and are not in for inspections yet driving on our roads. Lots of guy's drive junk (WELL IT ONLY GOES FROM POINT A TO B) I am so sick of hearing that...
I don't do any older vehicles because in B.C. they won't pass and we are the bad guy's. Nothing older than 2005 and not over 100000km. We are the only guy's in town to inspect propane units you can't get your propane unit inspected from a guy with out his building being certified. If you do you...
spray for your can, nothing like that smell on a rainy day (mine don't stink) how are yours HA HA. Rubber gloves to drain your black water, a funnel to add water to your water tank just in case you run out of water also a plug to plug in an rv plug and to plug the other way (only my 2 cents)
Yes!! Go with an exhaust, I went on my 05 GM 5.3L flow pro and removed my cats I had to put a resinator in order to remove the drone at 2000 to 3000 rpm. More power and fuel economy truck sounds great 3 of my buddys have done the samething.
I tried to get Firestone air bags for my 05 Sierra 1500 (non hd) and I was given sport ride. I was unable to install unless I shimed out 3/4 in from my frame and they still didn't line up. I went to super springs worked fine.
:(an't change tire size came with 17in and 16 will not fit I have 411 gears I will have to stay with my 5.3L I was told that it was done in Dawson Creek but that is all I can find out. I am going to buy new next spring a bigger truck with a 6L max
I am doing an inspection on a 93 GMC 2500 4X4 on propane. What a mess it had passed in Alberta. The front end is about to fall out, exhaust is loose, windshield is cracked, tires stick out passed the fenders, doors are loose wipers don't work ,some mechanics should their lic removed This just...
Yes, Propane the kit costs 4700. . Propane here is 47.9 and gas is 112.9 it takes nothing to pay back. Now more power on LP we inject it under pressure 3tenth faster in 1/4 mile looks good too 700km less than 60.00
You should try a B.C. inspection safety stuff yes, But we look at rust on the body, windshield for cracks, tires sticking out of the body, headlight adjustments, seats , and more we take almost 1.5hrs and get 100 bucks plus tax
The gears are 4:10 and I get 19.1 mpg on my last trip to the big city(Edmonton) on propane 59 bucks from FSJ to Edmonton. Just has a hard time pulling hills with my trailer on.(its heavy) Maybe a newer truck
My 5.3L is the aluminum block with 310hp 9.9:1 comp and 6L heads. My new holiday trailer is 6000lbs dry and the truck works pulling it, But it pulls @ 110km on the hiway hills kill me only 75km to 90km I think the only way is to go to a bigger truck.
