Ordered a 165 9R with all the goodies. Been in an alpha for the last 5 years but figured I’d try the matryx out and the 9r looked appealing . Alpha will hide in the garage as a spare just in case it don’t show or is at the dealer..
Rode Quartz yesterday for the first day out . Not disappointed but wish the snow had been better . Needless to say needs a reload bad. Lots of land mines out still too.
Had one of these kits ordered but changed it for Bennys setup. No issues runs like a top with nice bottom end through mid to the top and backshifting works awesome. Couldnt find any info on the Speedwerx kit so thats why I went with bennys kit and sure am glad I did.
Coudnt agree more towed out a 850 poo with 700 kms on it this saturday at km 1 headed up Quartz then buddy who was saying his cheap 800 Rmk runs with the best of them were parked on the side at .5 km on the way down with the 850 poo behind me .
Never trust a damn poo. 800s were no good and the...
For anybody who is looking at an OEM rail brace kit , country cat now lists and OEM brace kit on their website. Looks like they changed the bump stop from bolt on to adhesive as well.
Here is the PN for Country Cats website 8639-290.
Couldnt agree more the white plastics suck a**. Terrible to keep clean, any scratches stick out like a sore thumb and no matter how much you clean them they always look dirty, scratched , etc. Never again will I buy a white sled, Lesson learned.
I deal with them always and said they had one of their best snowcheck years, and only picking up more business from kawi and suz. They only have 4 wheel kawi stuff now for about another year or so then will have a full kawi lineup. They are pumping out tons of machines dont see them going...
I have the elevate kit on my alpha and it works awesome , no compliants. The nose doesnt dive down and push snow it sits on top and continues to float like the axys does. Super easy to get on its side and easy to hold a sidehill for any length of time . I think its well worth it if you are...
Honestly I am running a billet lever on my alpha this year and have never had any issues with anything sticking to it or freezing up once and also had a billet on my 14 with no issues either . I think for the guys who want to run one , you shouldnt worry about freezing or sticking.
They get more fun as you ride them ! We rode morrisey yesterday was super deep up top behind the cabin, and it just goes wherever you want and the track doesn't stop! Coming of a 14 proclimb it was a huge change and wouldnt ride anything else after the alpha!
This is how I’ve always strapped my alpha for all my trips. The superclamp does most of the work up front , and the strap around the rear scissor just to keep the rear down . I can imagine if you are running it on the front of the skid on the deck without and extension as most guys do , I would...
Try a different can and that might help your problem. We rode sicamous last weekend with about 5-6' fresh in the creeks we were in. No exhaust bog on my 20 with the GGB can and both 850 doos had no bog either or the 800 poo all running aftermarket cans. Can would be an easy start and lots of...
Great explanation on all 3 kits Ez! Makes it easier for someone on the fence to determine which kit they want to go with and even better there is a couple guys on this thread running the Bdx kit when it release, the barcode kit (which i was considering before i decided on the elevate) and the...
Im curious to see when you have the BDX spindles on what the height is compared to the elevate kit as well as with your a arms too . I know lots of guys were upset they couldnt buy just the spindles so its nice there is some more options out there.
The new Slydog attacks are awesome, I have a set on my 14 and work awesome. Solid ski loop, nice flotation but not too much where its hard to initiate a pow turn or side hill or anything like that. Im going to run the G2 skis on my alpha for a couple rides and see how i like them , and if i dont...
