I have seen the Cooler Mod done to the Nytros to fit the 3" track. The Apexs I have seen had the drop and roll done. All the 2.5" tracks I have seen are just install and go.
Well Mike nice to see you are sprucing the old sled up a bit. I have a little surprise for you this year. I have done some work in the off season too.
Thinking about buying a 600 Pro for the wife to ride this winter.......... I think it should be a reliable sled for her. Any thoughts?
She has ridden before. 600 rev and an Apex. She liked both. The Apex was heavy and the Rev was a little under powered she said but still fun.
OverKill is right. No need for the higher grade fuel unless you are going to higher boost levels. The EGT's get to hot. With your 290 kit Premium Pump fuel or Av Gas should give you no problems. 5000km on mine and this summer I am replacing one collector pipe because it got hit by a rock...
Put the Daltons in. If you are on the rev limiter all the time you can cause internal damage to the motor. I'm running the Daltons and 17lbs of boost. It works great. Adjust your secondary if you need to fine tune your RPMs.
If you are worried about the cost of the sport you are into you are in the wrong sport. Ride whatever brand makes you happy. But don't whine when a Boosted Yamaha blows past you on the mountain. :Cool9:
As long as the goggles are comfortable and don't impair your vision. I have used Scott and Smith goggles in the past and they worked well. The past few years I have been using Utopia Optics and this year I bought a couple pairs of the Oakley Mayhem MX goggles and a pair of the 509 Sinnister...
Chevrolet has a test track behind one of the hotels along the strip. $10 for a ticket and as long as you have a valid drivers license and you aren't drink you can do a coule laps in just about any GMC vehicle you want. I drove a Corvette, and Cadillac STS. There is even an offroad track for...
I ride an 07 Apex with the MCX 310 kit. I have run the Yamaha belts and never had a problem. (the sled has 4500km) The only time I had a belt problem is when I climbed a hill with the park brake on by accident. The belt actually cut through the secondary clutch. They are tough belts. I...
Stopped in at Adrenaline Powersports today. Very helpful. They had my tank re-filled quickly and they also have spare tanks for sale and other BCA products. :specool:
Adrenaline Powersports in Whitecourt is setting up to re-fill the bottles. I am stopping in tomorrow to do a re-fill and test run on mine. They got all the fittings from BCA so it should be quick and easy. Will keep ya posted.
14lbs and the stock skid...... Yes you have a wheelie monster. Like some of the guys said already suck the limiter straps down and upgrade your rear shock. And yes run your track tight. It will still wheelie but you wont ratchet the track.
If you want to stop the wheelies it's time for a...
