    Hole in Rad

I used JB on mine. Washed it out real good with water and then used torch to make sure it was good and dry. Used a small pick tool to find the actual hole and spread it open a bit. Coated it liberally with JB making sure there was good penetration into the actual hole and let it sit for s few...

How is everyone doing with their eco boost turbo 1/2 tons?

Big tanks. I hold 139 litres so keep an average of 13-14l/100 it works out to roughly 900k per tank.

How is everyone doing with their eco boost turbo 1/2 tons?

The Lie-O-Meter throws the fuel economy way outta whack. I find that if you do a bunch of stop and go driving, then hit the hwy, the real time meter stays right at the average even if its high like around 16L/100. I cheat it a bit by getting up some good speed going up a hill, then reset it at...

    Hole in Rad

I find the 2 part epoxy putty like quick steel works better and faster. Comes in a plastic pill bottle like tube. Looks like modelling clay with the two parts, just tear off a chunk, knead it together and apply. Hardens fast, where JB welds take hours and are runny. Quick trailside fix.

    Riding in swan hills

Depends on what you like. Rode that whole area around the centre or Alberta a few years back with kids TRX90 a XR400 and a handful of 4x4 machines. Was a few places of tough slugging but made it through. It was wet that year and fairly well used.

    Riding in swan hills

There's Trapper Lea's cabin near the centre of Alberta on the way to swan hills from Barrhead on hwy 33. But as said before, a lot of those trails are muskeg, as are most trails to the east. Not sure about the other directions. Freeman lake has a campground to the south on hwy 32 I believe and...

How is everyone doing with their eco boost turbo 1/2 tons?

Only gad mine for about 7 weeks now with 7000 km on it. So far so good. Best mileage I've gotten was about 12.3/100 so far. Definitely not what their rating is, but that's with the 3:53 rear with premium gas. I got the 3:73 and burn reg, so not sure if that's why the big difference in fuel...

    ATV/SXS insurance

Been awhile since I looked at my policy, but I want to say insurance is around 250 a year for quads, 200 for the dirt bikes and my old beater sled was about 70 and registration was around 65 for everything. That's through co-operators. I think that also included full coverage on the quads at...

Wow it really must have been many moons since you've been there as there is only 3-4 miles of gravel going either way now.

    Just Bought A 2012 Grizzly 700 FI

The grizzlies run 3 clutches. The wet clutch or engagement clutch is inside the engine cases, bathed by oil. Basically operating on the same principle as an automatic clutch in the old gear bashers. Requires centrifugal force to engage. These springs go in there, raising your engagement rpm...
