It was actually a o5ish Yamaha RS Vector..maybe a turbo im not sure but theres no way that you coulda pulled that thing out of there seeing as it weighs like 600 lbs haha
Was up the there today, some fresh, burn was a bit icy, trail was decent good day overall. Also saw a helicopter pick up a dead sled out of the first bowl..was interesting.
Would it be O.K to use a "super out"? it requires you to drill a hole in the broken bolt and tap it in. it basically looks like a torx head and its supposed to just grab it so you can turn it out. im a little bit concerned that hammering it into the end of the shaft could be bad.. also...
I was putting my secondary back on after cleaning it up for the season, and for some reason there was a bit of play in it. it was moving back and forth on the shaft about 1cm, i made sure i didnt lose any shims so i dont know why it wasnt tight...anyways i (stupidly) decided to really try to...
I need some tips of where to start, and what to do. I got an 07 RMK 600 and im not sure how to drain the chaincase oil... is there a plug on the bottom or do i need to tip the sled on its side and pop off the cover:confused: Also, what should I be looking for once I open it up, and what oil...
Ok, thanks teeroy and pistonbroke800 for the help :d I guess that this doesnt work with polaris but I might just try to find a bolt thats the same size as the threads in the fixed half and it should work, when i try ill let you know how it works. Thanks again:)
Arent the threads on the primary bolt smaller than the threads on the fixed sheave? because when i took the primaty bolt out all i had to do was loosen it out from the crank and it slid past the threads on the fixed sheave:confused:
I dont see why the Polaris clutch should be any different from the doo set up, as far as the basic principles of how it works...but i dont want to wreck anything. The primary bolt getting threaded back into the crank, correct? So where is all this water going to go:confused: Thanks so much for...
Hey I'm going to try this trick on my '07 RMK 600 tomorow and I'm just wondering how full should the hole be with water when I do this? all the way or what? and can I seperate the 2 sheaves without the puller? or do I need it to seperate them?
New to the site. Just picked up an '07 rmk 600ho 144. Live in Prince George B.C. I love sledding, been doing it for a while this will be my 4th season riding, just about 16 years old, thats about it. Cant wait for snow to try the new sled!!:d
