Lots of oil up there,the problem was the cam bolts had backed out. I'm going to change the gears, chain and tensioner.

I have a 1990 Honda 300 fourtrax 4x4; it has started to make a loud ticking sound, I've adjusted the valves but continues to tick. It sounds like it is coming from the cam, if I rotate the engine by hand I get a tick or click sound every time the valves close. Any idea what it could be. Thanks...
