Is it possible to get to North trailhead of Oyster by taking Cat Creek to Cummings, Cummings south to next intersection then go west to get to Oyster?
if so does that section of Cummings crossany logging roads and If so where does a person go if he does come to logging road?
Maybe I'm outta line here but I'll say it anyway. Travis paid the ultimate price for riding along in a area unfamiliar to him, not sure why it matters to a lot of you what ultimately took his life.
Let the guy rest in peace
are avy's more likely to happen on the trail over or once you drop into BC. I've only been over once with a group that frequently goes and I never really asked many questions. My mountain exp consists of cataract and that's about it other than a few trips to Montana 20 yrs ago.
dont think they are necessary, i have yet to wear mine.
i think the only place you need to worry is over at Fording Pass.
someone correct me if im wrong.
I was out today
I believe oyster is impassable currently. If you start North and head south and come to the first washed out bridge the creek is not frozen enough to get around.
skyline has a fallen tree that you can get under.....if you dig enough so your sled will go under. I would have...
So there is no quick way to the southern tip of trail system for time being? I know guts use to hop on the black dotted lne(trunk road) in between oyster and skyline but it is being used for hauling logs as well.
is Cummings creek trail passable the entire way? I tried going down oyster from...
just looking for tips and explanations as to what each spring/shock does and how it affects the sled. if the suspension is set up completely wrong i wouldnt know the difference, ive owned the sled for one season, prior to this sled i had a 2002 summit
sled is a 2011 154 800 etec
few times last year i thought about going for just a trail ride by myself out to Cataract, i decided it was a bad idea and never did it. a guy can cover a lot of ground in a short time on a sled making for a very long and cold walk out. hope this guy makes it out alive
Good day, good snow. Place was packed, must have been at least 20 plus trucks at etherington. Saw a ton of people on the trails. Was gonna go back tomorrow but I have a leak in my front exchanger
The wind and warm weather yesterday melted everything around, it looks and feels May. Before it all melted there wasn't close to enough snow anyway to ride around here. The storm that brought all the snow also brought the wind so nothing stuck around, it all blew away
yeah im 2 1/2 from...
Anyone think it is worth going out tomorrow? I'm sure the snow is fine as you get further back, little worried about the trail out of etherington though
