Put my 2015 Summit 800 X away for summer. Unhooked the battery and connected solar trickle charger. When I took it out of storage this fall there was no juice in battery (or I assumed). Charged and reconditioned the battery and put it back on the sled. Sled started and i ran it for a good 15-20...
Turn left into McBride at the husky. Drive till the road ends at the old train station and take a left. Drive along the train track, take a right and go under the train bridge. Follow road till it comes to a T intersection. Go Left and you will end up at the trail head. Hope this helps.
That's right there is a time and place!! Being you knew the two fellas this doesn't seem like the right time for you.... but if things are sliding right now i think this is the perfect time to remind others of the danger out there. You can shoot faces all the time but eventually it's going to...
We left on Friday and the trail was groomed both nights by Rod and the temps aren't getting cold enough at night to hold it together. As good as can be expected going up and pretty Sh!##y coming down. The worst areas were at the bottom and in the open area near the top. The middle was a bit icy...
So it is actually 12C today? I was hoping McBride didn't have a weather station and it was a weather station from Prince George or something that was giving a warm temp. Hoping the trails hold up till next week. We are there from 16-20. Still good riding up top?
What I do is wedge a screwdriver or punch between the flywheel and the metal on the bottom of the belly pan. turn the clutch till the punch stops it from turning. Torque to 92. There is a clutch holder as well if you want to buy it. This works for me.
Hopefully the 800 HO is a more reliable engine then it's predecessor!! We probably won't find put till next season when the 2015 Axis 800 HO engines hit 1500-1800 miles. I really liked my '13 RMK Assault but too many of my friends blew motors up around that 1500 mile range.
No never had it off. Bought it with 280 miles on is from the US in 2011. Only has 700 miles now so I thought I would look at clutch. Never seen a clutch like this before. I was told if you over tighten the bolt it will bend. So the previous owner must have done it at some point when he owned it...
I know this is not in the right section, but I'm looking for some advice. Was taking my wife's 2009 550f Backcountry Freestyle clutch apart yesterday I noticed that the bolt holding it in was wabbly. When I rolled in on the edge of a table it was quite noticeably bent. I ordered a new one...
WTF? Clueless is right!! Had mine done between Christmas and New years. Took about an hour. Got an extra key just incase I misplaced one for $55. They were in the computer already so it was just the cost of the key.
A lot of your points on the polaris sled are valid. I had a '13 RMK Assault and it was everything you said it was. The only down fall our riding group found was motor reliability!! My friend blew his '13 motor 2 times last year and for that reason we all decided to go back to doo. Have not made...
