    SkiDoo Prayer Thread

So here is my thoughts on this issue. As one who has been made to feel like my contribution in a new post was overruled by the great one, I can relate to how people feel when someone critisizes you for your input. I was offended and felt like leaving this forum myself. I responded to the great...

If it was a PDI issue then how come so many. Are we assuming every dealer is not doing their part?

Why I think the Switchback Assault is the perfect sled for me.

Had a look at the Cat side and wow. And I thought the old Poo 800s had engine issues. These cats make the Poo issues seem petty. Poor blokes. I feel for them as they layed out alot of cash as I did. The Doo folks have their issues with them etecs I see also. Sure glad I went with the Poo. 1st...

    storage??

I know it is costly but this has got to be the slickest simplest system with good cargo capacity, 2 gal fuel storage and secures tight and won't come off unexpectedly. This is my sled with it on. I have more install picks if you want to see more detail. Let me know.

    2012 polaris switchback 800,144,

Already a thread started on this in the Polaris Pro Ride section. I have 77 miles on my 2012 SBA so far with only 7" of snow out there. My sled has 2" track so will be geared lower I believe but it hauls great. Found a nice blown over ditch to test the side hilling a bit and the deep snow...

    Pro vs E-tec

Makes me chuckle when people say the Poo is underpowered. Let's put it in perspective. All 800 2 strokers put out excellent power (Poo is lowest at 154 with Etec and Cat at about 163 hp) Difference of 9 hp . Works out to about 6% more. Poo has the better drive train we all know and lighter...

Why I think the Switchback Assault is the perfect sled for me.

I was told by the dealer to simply release the 2 quarter turn fasteners, remove the rubber strap, the side panel swings down about 50 degrees. Then pull the bottom out even though you think it will break...it won't. Comes off with a pop.

Why I think the Switchback Assault is the perfect sled for me.

Early report and comparisons: We had a nice dump of snow here so had a chance to rider er for about 2 hrs so far. No boondocking of course but had a chance to get the feel of er a bit. Typical Polaris..get on and ride. No need to adjust to the sled as if fits perfect. Love the high seating...

    Fuel can options....

Now there's a scarry thought! Might have to consider it. How's the newly wed life? She got you trained yet? :o If you come my way bring the sled and I will take you to the hills just north of us here. Fantasic play area. Here's a pic of the Hills last year the same day I broke my arm and ended...

    Fuel can options....

I did the Powder Keg gig myself on my 12 SBA. Clean looking, Black, lots of storage, 2 gal fuel (155 inchers get 2.5 gal) fuel container, did I mention clean looking (not an aftermarket one size fits all but sculptured to fit the sled. Very simple and easy to install and no bungies. Hold down...

Hope we all have a safe riding season

I want to encourage every rider out there to make sure you have a safe fun riding season. Last year I broke my arm at my left wrist on my first ride and lost the season. Now I weigh more with a plate screwed to my bones and a 5" scar where the kind Doc did the internal repairs. Lesson...

Why I think the Switchback Assault is the perfect sled for me.

I seen that snowest comparo. PRO took 2 of 3 comparisons. The 15 hp more etec did not have enough power to out handle the Pro. Like I said. I will take the wimpy Poo Poo that handles great and has a high fun factor. Pokin fun of course.

Why I think the Switchback Assault is the perfect sled for me.

Poo 154 hp Doo E tech 163 hp Looks like 9 ponies to me. I will double check with the calculator this time. Yup 9. I don't ride hp myself. I prefer to ride a high performance high fun factor sled. 9 hp will not help the e tec in the shop with crank issues. :d
