I also watched the shoot out they had between the new 2011 ford and gmc trucks. They didn't have the dodge in there because they trailer they were towing was over the dodge allowable weight. The new gmc won in most catagories. Just sayin what i saw. I drive a 2008 f350 and am not a gm guy but...
I just put a set of 28's on my commander and like them so far. Only have 2 rides on them but they seem to work well in mud and also snow and they ride nice on hard pack and gravel roads. Haven't put them to the test in any real eep stuff but so far like them
We tried getting into silent on friday and rode quartz on sat. Couldnt get into silent and hit a rock the first 20 mins at quartz and broke my a arm. I'm not riding again until they have another 3 feet on snow
That was us on friday that tried breaking into silent. After jumping a few creeks and alot of logs we gave up. Way to much work trying to get 6 sleds up there. There is no base. we would just spin down to the dirt
I had the same problem on my 09 xp. Could not get it off. Took it to the dealer and I think they head to heat it up to get it off. Have also heard of guys putting water in the bolt hole then wraping the bolt with teflon tape and screwing it back it. I guess the pressure from the water will help...
We tried getting into silent pass on friday and there just isnt enough snow to get in there. lots of fallen logs on trail not covered enough yet. Only about 1 foot of snow on logging roads. Went to quartz on saturday. More snow there but a ton of hidden rocks. Broke an a arm in the first 30 mins...
So a yammi with a 180hp turbo is 17500. A new summit x 154 is roughly 14200. Can a person get modds that add roughly 25hp for 3000. The only thing I can think of is a big bore kit and I am not sure on the cost of them is
If you add 5 - 10 K and turbo to a yammi they will not play the same way. I am not a yammi guy and ride a turboed skidoo 1200 myself but have a few buddies that ride turboed yammis. Ya the yammis are deffinenly a heavy machine but there is not a stock sled that will hang with them
When u first put it in gear and take off it makes a clunking noise but it is the same noise as both my canam quads make when u shift. Just a canam thing I guess
