I bought a pair of Aviators 2 seasons ago. I like the wide viewing area and they look sweet but don't work. These Aviators fog very easily and the double lens began to split after about 15 rides. I'll keep them with my mirror lens for those sunny days when fogging is a none issue but my yellow...
That seems like a huge difference between two days of similar snow conditions. I see 2-4 mph difference between a more wind swept slope and a sheltered bowl but definately not 8 mph. Did you notice a big difference in handling from adjusting your limiter, maybe the way the sled is pushing...
Just thought I'd update this a little. Found some extra track speed with lighter weights and glide washers in the primary. I still haven't gone back in to the chaincase but I think stock lower is 42T and I have the 19T upper. Was running 66 gram belly busters before not 68g. Put in the 64g belly...
I have the 60HP shot and last time out was seeing 7800-7950 rpm off and 8400 rpm after a few seconds on the button. Also have the 13.6:1 PA head and ride around 6000' wmixing in 5L of VP110 in an empty tank with 91 shell. 32:1 VP110 and oil in the little bottle. Never seen a rev limiter or DET...
I bought a 12 Pro this fall and love the way it rips through the trees. I've always ridden Polaris's so I am definately not a Doolaid drinker, had a few sips before but always seemed a little bitter. Haha. Thought about buying a XP ETEC for the power but never liked the out of control feeling I...
Great videos guys. Almost burnt up my whole Sunday workday here. This is a video I posted a few days ago in its own thread (before I found this one), figured I might as well put it here with the rest and just add to this one from now one.
Keep em coming.

Went and checked out Norona's tips and he's got some great points. Watched it back and definately will try to get more footage of other riders that I'm out with and keep the clips shortened to only the best parts.
For sure should have left the windy rip down the trail at the end out and...
My first time out with the Contour Roam 2 I got for Christmas. Also new to the editting thing so any pointers from the vets is appreciated. Wondering if the camera angle seems to be off to the right too far. Thanks guys.
Haha. Seems like everything I need is available except for the MOOLAH. Spent too much on the new sled this fall, so unless I can figure out away to F#*# this thing too then I've got to keep the wife somewhat happy until next season.
Do you re-bond the chaincase to the chassis when reassembling...
Sweet. Thanks High Velocity. That is exactly what I was looking for. Probably wait until this summer. Get it all prepped myself then take to a shop or freelance guy to weld it up for me. ;)
Hey Guys I've seen a few people mention that the 3" paddles will de-laminate from the belt when using 7 tooth drivers for the 3" tracks. Seems to be a fair number of guys running them though. I'd like to try going to a 3" before next winter.
How many miles have you guys been running a 3" on...
Hey Dragonweld28. 50-52 is big track speed for a 800 Polaris. I'd say you got that thing dialed in. How do you like the Peak track? I went back to factory 5.1 because I felt it couldn't get up on top of powder snow but with another 12mph track speed just curious how its working for you.
Alright guys. I'd like to take another look at this thread cause I feel like the 2012 Pro 163 I bought this year is a little low for what its got done to it. I'm seeing 40mph max and usually 38-39mph with a 13.6:1 PA head and HPS can, 19t top gear and stock which I think is a 45t bottom. I'm...
Another:thumbsup2: for Launch Helmet Cams. Just ordered a Contour Roam 2 from them and mentioned I was a Snow and Mud member in the special instructions portion of check out. They sent me an extra 8 gig memory card on top of the 4 gig they already throw in. Thanks guys.
I'm looking to swap to a camo extreme from the Peak track I currently have. If you have a 163" extreme 2.5" with 2.86 pitch or know someone who is swapping to a 3" or 174" pm me please. Thanks
