Cleaned up the clutch and gave it some grease. Took it out to give it an easy test and loved it. So much easier to ride than I thought it would be. First little bit of side hill I literally laughed out loud it was so easy to get on edge.
Thanks for all the advice everyone[emoji106] greatly...
Belt looks hardly used, same with the spare. Not feeling spendy that’s forsure. Hopefully within the month there will be enough snow to at least take it for a trail ride up somewhere. I’m sure that should reveal if it needs anything.
Thanks for the advice all.
Sounds like the shops just saying what they were likely trained to say.
The sleds only got 900km. Still need a clutch rebuild already? I’ll start by pulling it apart and having a look. They guy I bought it from seems to have taken really good care of it and didn’t...
Looking for a bit of advice as I’ve just picked up a 13 summit x and am getting conflicting info. I’m coming off years of the cat 1100 turbo so looking to people with real experience on S&M.
The guy I bought from swore up and down amsoil dominator is what he used and that it worked perfect...
Snow is close cause I'm constantly on kijiji looking for a new sled!
Tested a 2 stroke at the end of last year. It felt like 1/2 the weight of the turbo!
2012 M1100 turbo 162 Sno Pro Limited in great condition.
Sled has a bunch of upgrades and has been absolutely bullet proof for me.
Over $6,000 of upgrades on parts alone. Also comes with all the stock parts.
Upgrades include
Evolution power sports BRV, boost tubes, intercooler fan, engine...
Some kind of frustrated the Avy course for next week was rescheduled for golden. Something refuses to let me ride fernie this year?

Hmmm. I'll keep watching for what 2018 sled releases do the 2017s prices then. Maybe find a spring deal.
Great to hear the snow is still good enough to get stuck in!

Yep looks ok. Glad we weren't missing much when we got stuck on the wrong side of the gate at Coleman.
Great looking area!

Might as well ride if you can. Drive BC still says no expected time of reopening yet. Guessing that's not great news if your sitting waiting for road reopening.
Drive and ride safe. Roads home last night were pretty bad.

Made the journey this am to ride fernie only to get to Coleman and find the road closed. I checked AMA all night and up until the minute we left at 430. The update came at 500am! while we were plowing through ridiculous roads. Was so looking forward to an awesome day but ended So frustrating...
Quartz is a good area for a first trip. A bit of terrain for all skills. West bench trail is simple and accessible from the quartz parking lot too. If you go to sledgolden.com they give a good rundown of the different areas. Definitely a few areas to avoid with new riders.
Good luck!

Thanks for the info Doug. Looks like it's still decent if a guy can find the snow. Hoping for a couple heavy snow falls before riding early feb!!

All in all sounds like pretty skinny for the average guy to find good snow. Are you guys having to go way back to find decent snow? What are the chances of the average guy finding fresh?
Hoping the reload comes soon!!!
