Haha thanks but its a bit of a trek from Scotland to Edmonton just for a show.
Maybe I should have asked if there is any equipment that I should avoid?
Hi Guys
Making my second trip to Revelstoke this year, Last year I hired all the kit but it is fairly expensive to rent so I would like to buy my own equipment, which in the long run should work out a bit cheaper
Given I only get probably 1-2 trips a year I don't want to spend thousands of ££...
I used one of the 163" T3s this year and can vouch for the condition and maintenance, the one I had was immaculate and never missed a beat the whole week!
I have a renegade backcountry 600 etec 2012 and I was wondering if fitting a 2.25" track from a 2015 137 free ride would work?
would it be a straight swap or more needed I'm terms of drive sprockets etc
cheers in advance
Been the best I've ever seen and a lot of it is totally untouched too! Got caught out by so many what I thought were 2ft Christmas trees that turned out to be at least 10ft haha!
Rode a 163 T3 for a week last month and it was great only issue was it tended to overheat on the icy trails, even with the scratchers down!
Other than that can't fault it!
Just make sure you are out with other three inch track guys or when you get stuck you will be all alone probably!
Goggle warmer box is good but the skidoo ones let in snow if you roll the sled in deep snow.
As for goggles try and find a pair that fit your face as well as your helmet, none are perfect!
If you can't find someone I'd say just go up and hang out at the cabin and see if you can find anyone to tag along with, that's what I did on my final two days and people were great! I did help dig them out a few times but that's the fun of it!
I use a suomy Mr Jump
it has a great field of vision and the best thing about it is the weight, you hardly notice you are wearing it.
its made from carbon and kevlar so is extremely strong and passes all of the relevant standards etc.
would recommend it, brilliant for sledding all day and not...
Well I am a newbie! Third skidoo trip first trip to BC and big hills did smaller ones in Newfoundlands west coast.
From my my point of view I'd say nice forgiving terrain where if you roll the sled or it gets away from you isn't going to hit trees or do damage.
Techniques for un sticking a...
Well I had five days, not perfect conditions but sledding is like sex and pizza even when it's not that great it's still pretty awesome!!
Been away for two days and can honestly say that I miss it and wish I was back there now!
Goodbye revvy hopefully see you again in the future!
Oh I don't disagree was just stating the obvious in the hope of cheering the thread and myself up a bit, I had to plan my week long trip two months ago so I am totally in the hands of the gods and have a lot of emotion invested haha

I work in the oil and gas industry in Scotland, we pay millions for a weather forecast and feedback local parameters etc and the best we can reliably get is three days so anything more than that is cloud cookoo land in my opinion!!
I am in kelowna tonight heading for revvy tomorrow so I'm...
