There is a group in Grande prarrie that is trying to change the dunes. Currently the dunes is area 5 mins south of town that has mile and miles of trails. ATVS, Trucks, Jeeps and horses currently use the area. The wapiti corridor planning society is trying to change the use of this area...
TNT(True North Trailrunners), the 4x4 club that is local to Grande Prairie and area is hosting a fundraiser steak dinner with hypnotist on April 13, 2013. Half of the proceeds go to the Sunrise House, the emergency youth shelter. Tickets are selling for $40 each. Please consider coming and...
I've done a ton of theese DPF deletes. I like the smarty for tunning, but it won't work on the 2010s yet. H and S is not a bad product and I would rate them right behind smarty. I have heard some bad stories about the edge for DPF deletes so i'd stay away from them. As far as exhuast goes...
okay, the jacobs brake doesn't retard as much as the pac brake will. The pac brake has the most retarding power out there, asides from BD,s air powered brake(they have a vaccume brake too). I would recomend the pac brake, It will cost more, but its the highest quality and most powerfull out...
If i remember right, the speed brake uses your factory VGT turbo as an exhaust brake. The pac brake is a actual exhast brake. I would think both would work well. If your towing big loads you will want the 4 inch exhast anyhow. I can tune your ECM to use your VGT turbo as an exhaust brake...
If your worryed about the tunner being vin locked, just plug it into your truck and see if it will tune your truck, If its vin locked it will let you know pretty quick, if it is a ME version your will not be able to run it untill you pull the DPF. If is not the ME version you can run it, then...
I'd have to agree, its carbon or the valve got stuck, pull it clean it and try it. There are guys out there than can tune the EGR out of your computer so it does nothing. I can do this, but I am in grande prarrie, There is a guy i would recomend in edmonton, do a search on extreame fx tunning...
water wetter is good for ATV and truck, amsoil also just released a similar product. Engine ice Is more of a replacement for your coolant, and acording to some of the dirt bike guys i know it helps a lot, but i'm not sure i would recomend it for a truck as its expensive and the freezeing point...
The h and S has some great power to it, they just have issues with loading and changeing tunes. H and S does however have great customer service, but Its only during bussnes hours, so if you have an issuse you will need a computer on the internet and you have to call durring the day. This is a...
I know xtreameFX he can do some good stuff. I would definatly recomend him. You can just do around a 50 hp tune, and that should be pretty safe, unless your a nut behind the wheel lol
yea I have to agree, A lean mixture keeps your diesel engine alive, you run lean most of the day with stock tunning. I modify diesels for a liveing and own two of them that are modifyed. First thing you should know about towing a big load witha ny diesel is get an EGT guage, have the probe put...
Custom tuning is where its at. EFI live is what I use to custom tune chevys. For just a DPF delete I charge $300, if you want extra power, I charge $450. I can turn the EGR off while I'm at it. I can even tune in an exhuast brake. Only problem is your in fort mac and I'm in grande Prarrie.
I would suggest that the f150 would be a little lite for that load, it can do it but not as well as a 3/4 ton. IF your a ford guy look at the superdutys, they are a way better truck than the f150 is and they can hual a good load easyer. I would not recomend a newer ford diesel, They get really...
two stroke oil will not clogg your injectors unless you run some pretty high mixtures. The feul spraying out of your injectors come out at anywhere from 5000psi to 30 000psi. Poor injection pressures, or poor feul quality is what will clogg an injector, typically the internals of the injector...
hmm yea BD injectors are just extrude honed stockers from what i know, not the best for milage. I had a 64.5 mm turbo on last year and it hurt milage, this year i have a 62mm on and it seamed to help but won't really know till sping comes and I take a few road trips. The 62 is definatly hard...
this is from the queens printer Mudguards
64(1) A motor vehicle or trailer must have a part of its body, a
fender or a mudguard that covers the width of each tire.
(2) The body part, fender or mudguard referred to in subsection (1)
must be above each wheel and
(a) extend downwards at the rear...
Put a little money into your 7.3, it'll cost less than the 6.0. I work on a lot 6.0s, they have great power but are unrelieable. They have been know to die with no warning, and befor the tow bill it can cost aboiut $2500 for the high pressure oil pump that cuased it to die. Head gaskets go...
