Yea, the hockey helmet was more of a solution for one trip where we were planning on driving down the well road......no bush or technical riding for a quick hotdog roast . I am planning to go to GW on Monday to order one.

This is my point!!! I have ABSOLUTELY no problem spending the money for a helmet, even if it's every season but IT HAS TO FIT PROPERLY or it's far more of a danger

Huh...this came from one of the Rangers that handles that area but if there is nothing posted......plus if you've seen side by side there maybe I'll just go out anyway.

There are no weight restrictions according to the ranger I spoke with but he dissatisfied there was a width restriction. I was unable to ask what that was as he had to go.

I think it's a whole different story with the side by side though.....not 100% sure as I just got it but not willing to risk it either. Also, not sure if that weight is dry or fully loaded with passengers

I actually just spoke with both the RCMP and the Rangers who enforce McLean and was told that they do not enforce it and that the hockey helmet would be fine provided I am willing to accept the risks for my son.

Sorry if this sounds stupid but I am literally radio literate but am looking for a good option to radio for help if needed while out in McLean. Who all can I contact with this radio? Also, can I use it to contact friends when meeting them in the bush?
