No , no bogg before i put pipes on. there is old fuel in the sled, i think it has to do with jetting/air-fuel mix..... plugs maybe? its in the shop right now so i guess well see:beer::confused:
Hi, I just put a set of splitsecond twins and a boost bottle on my '01 RMK 800.
The sled has lots of power midrange and top end, but a bog at the low end. If i crack it, the sled boggs and then picks up all the power midrange to top end. Would my clutch weights have anything to do with it...
The probes are just after the flanges, at the start of the pipe. So i have the boost bottle, pipes, and egt guage. What else do i need ? the guy who i bought these from only had a boost bottle and a egt guage and his rmk ran perfect. he claims 20hp gain. Should i worry about jetting( set @...
I just bought a set of splitsecond pipes and have a lot of q's. I keep hearing the name Ralph. I also read that he makes the splitsecond and he lives in valleyview AB. is this true? anybody know him, i live 1 hour away and would love to speak with him
I just out in twin pipes on my 01 800 RMK and right now its jetted 3-6000'. What size jet that is i dont know? Running a boost bottle and split second twin pipes ? any suggestions:beer::beer:
I know that it reads exhaust gases in your pipes, but what is the point of having one?
I just put twin pipes on my 01 800 RMK, and the guy i bought it from also sold me the guage and said "if you have twin pipes, you have to have the EGT guage. Is there a certain temp, i should be looking for ...
Hi all, i just bought a boost bottle to go along with my new twin pipes. I know that boost bottles help stabilize air/fuel mix coming from carbs going to heads. They are "supposed" to increase throttle response throughout bottom end and mid range and increase fuel milage. Supposably, added...
Im not a cat guy, i ride polaris. But i do know carburated engines. Make sure u have a look at the oil pump, the gaskets that are on the boots(just after the carbs)these are your reed valves, there famous for separating on AC's. Most importantly CHECK YOUR COMPRESSION IN EACH CYLINDER. fAILURE...
Cool, that means he joins with another great backcountry rider Randy Sherman. Cant wait to see him on a polaris, seeing as how im a poilaris fan. He will most likely be riding the Assualt and the 163' Dragon. cant wait. thanks for the info:beer:
just out of curiousity, I have a MBRP can off my 800 RMK and its for a 800 or 1000, will it work on a 2009 550 fan cooled shift? I believe that there would be too much generated under the hood and in turn cause engine problems?. There also a back pressure problem? I know that it wont work, but...
maybe a summit isnt the way to go, being is that its a 100% mountain sled. Have you thought of maybe a skidoo TNT o a cat crossfire, both great sleds. Track lenth depends mostly on where u spend most of your time. Too much track like a 62 or 63 will push your sled on the trails making turng more...
I do not want to comment on the article, but wouls love to see some pics of your sled. I also have a 01 800 rmk, with boss seat, 4'' riser, digitron, slp bearing and chaincase, twin slp slpit shot pipes and cans, boost bottle and awaiting new cheater heads. I would love to see your sled:beer:
sno stuff and mbrp make the loudest cans , that i know of. It depends on what u want. U need to look at what u want in terms of hp. mbrp drops on average 10 lbs with the removal of the can and 4- 5 hp with the new can. every 10 pounds u lose, u gain 1 hp. if u drop the stock can and put on a...
