I am going to school in Kamloops and a bunch of non snowmobiling friends down here want to rent sleds and go for a ride. I don't ride down here, and don't even keep a vehicle to transport a sled. Does anyone know of anywhere we could rent some sleds right at a trail head near Kamloops...

Have you looked at the DOOTALK clasifieds? If not, go to ski-doo snowmobile forums - DOOTalk.com. There is all kinds of stuff for sale on here, and some sled wreckers post adds on it too. I have bought a few things through these clasifieds and have been super happy with the transactions...
I only go home for my xmas break and reading break. Its a full day of driving and hard to justify on long weekends and such. As for where I ride, basicaly around Smithers, The Microwave, Sinclair, Onion, Harold Price . . . . I only drive a car when around school, so I don't bring my sled...
