Jesus, ~20k for a sled that runs/sounds like a clapped out chainsaw... I'd be dumping that thing off on the dealer's doorstep and be asking some hard questions.
I drove through there this summer as well. That is a massive project but the cranes on the pads/matting would be a hard no for me. There is definitely a lot of trust in the engineering of that and the crews that put it together!
Charge and load test the batteries. If they're good, you've got a drain somewhere (as mentioned, check any aftermarket accessories that are installed). If they're bad, change both batteries and carry on.
Maybe look at a good used compact wheel loader Sean? With a quick attach you could do everything you want with it and have a bit more weight and lifting power.
And that’s the same guy that doesn’t realize that his phone (which most people nowadays use for an alarm) changes over (or used to) automatically [emoji23]
I've looked in the classifieds and there's nothing in there, no luck on Kijiji either. Does anyone have a set of good used stock tires off a Maverick that they want to get rid of? My boss picked up a 2013 and its tires are cracking/weathered/worn. Looking for 27X9R12 and 27X11R12
Give me a couple months haha. My dad is looking to replace his 2014 F150 Ecoboost soon. He wants the hybrid for the same reasons, all the cool tech and gadgets on it. Toyota is doing the same with the new Tundra but I don't think they've got nearly the same features as the Ford. Competition...
Hasn't there recently been a few diesel performance shops across the states getting slammed with massive fines and cops showing up on their doorstep? For selling deletes, tunes etc? I don't agree with it but it was only a matter of time before the EPA started going after the little guys. How...
I guess the loggers in Northern California will be driving to Oregon for a new saw when they need it. Unless California is gonna ban logging too? I highly doubt anyone is going to go back to two man cross cut saws [emoji23]
We have a new Cat 349 excavator on order with finning. It was supposed to be here in July. They’re telling us now late October/early November. We shall see. Equipment sales and rentals are nuts right now.
$1.41 for regular, I can easily see $1.80-2.00 for 91 this winter. $24K sled, $50/gallon oil, $150-200/night hotel, plus truck fuel, plus food, plus gear, plus, plus, plus. Christ almighty a guy is gonna have to start business endeavors like Pablo Escobar to be able to afford to go sledding at...
That was out in Whistler if memory serves me right. The mid 2000s were a cool time to be a mountain sledder. Crazy custom builds, turbos started showing up, new sleds only cost ~12-13k and slednecks and blue marble oil was all rage
No idea if "shortages" are coming. I do know that the current prices helped make my industry is head down, a$$ up, hair straight back busy right now. I think we're lucky to have vast energy supplies close to home in Western Canada instead of having to be solely reliant on imports (yes I...
Put it the week or two before Haydays. An outdoor setting would definitely garner more interest and there'd be a chance for a decent swap meet to be had.
