What kind of track speed would you expect. That is a lot of snow to move with little clearance so I am guessing it would knock it down a bit correct?
Also, does it change the attack angle going to the 7t drivers to run it, this is why it trenches more?
Sure it shouldn't.. but anything can happen. Could just be a lemon sled.
Two belts for one guy and none for the 10+ guys I ride with on the same machines is all I'm saying.
Every brand has the odd lemon sled. Sucks when you get that one.. trade it off
Off topic from this, but you could leave the brake on.. pretty sure that would be operator. Kick all the snow from your boards into the engine compartment and then it turns into a nice ice ball around the pulley, drive for an hour at full throttle to smoke the other belt, spin the track...
Re: M8 to Pro 800 or Doo
Minor clutch work on the pro is amazing. 100/340 primary with some heavier weight and your laughing.
With your weight I'd stay away from the doo.
Read the internal reviews from doo riders. Harder to keep on its side. You'll end up loosening the suspension off to...
I run my scratchers a lot.. likely a lot when not required even, but **** a 40 dollar scratcher is a lot better than an over-heated engine.
I have never had my sled higher than 140 deg F on the trail even, maybe I get lucky but if I ever see it getting high in the 130s I stop, add snow, let it...
Exactly what I meant. Feel like they tried to do a happy medium between deep snow and marginal snow. That being said the the pro-x track is incredible for trails, so why wouldn't they just stick to a full on mountain track for the Pro-RMK...
Re: Ready to ride weigths video
Great video. Was with two buddies on 2014 cats and they really do care much less snow buildup. Pro and Ski-doo could use a lesson there.
Ya the little "tits" on the 5.1 aren't necessary for only mountain riders. I found they aren't to helpful in marginal snow or prairie riding either. If they were to do a 3" just make it solid, as most guys are looking for a true mountain track from a 3" paddle anyway.
Buddy of mine had an 09 PTEC go down this past weekend. No compression in the chain side cylinder.
As much fun as it was to see a DOO go down, made for a hectic day.
I agree it is a great boost for the other manufactures. Polaris needs a stronger power plant and some track options. The power plant is in the works and the track is easy... 2016 Pro will be there.
As for now, the price points aren't the same so that makes up for the differences.
You can get a...
I don't use my 1/2 ton as a sled hauling truck.. have friends with 1 tons and trailers to do the hauling to Revy..
But is there any stats showing # of accidents in Roger's Pass and type of vehicles in general..
Obviously not looking for as detailed as 1/2t vs 1t, etc. . Mainly semi-truck vs...
