Here is a picture of my new 5th wheel and quad trailer behind.
I am right at the max length.
I haven't pulled the quad trailer yet I just had to see what it looked like.
Thats cool just goes to show how not so strong camper trailers are.
I wonder if the newer ones are any stronger?
Looks to be a mid 80's trailer.
Not a bad looking buck!
Well the truck was wrote off so I bought it back.
Looks like I get to build it again.
Now I need to find a donor truck again.
If anyone has one or knows of one with a straight cab(xlt would be a bonus) the problem is that they don't make a cab roof skin. They still make hoods doors and box...
Well I found out that the 155 won't work because it has a pitch of 2.82 and no one makes a driver to work with my axle.
Looking at a 153" with a 3.0" pitch now.
Everyday short trips and no load is not what a diesel is meant for. They like to work. If you need to drive it daily(short trips) and only haul maybe once a month I would go with a gasser. A diesel cost more to buy, cost more for a regular service but don't need to be serviced as often, a break...
No problem anytime I was thinking of doing the same to my 01 until I found out I needed to by a flywheel so I am going to stick with my mechanical reverse.
The track is out of the machine it would of been a lot quicker if I didn't have that mechanical reverse but I do have 4500miles on that reverse and it still looks very good!
Tomorrow the engine comes out so I can sent out the jugs to get recoated.
Going to try mongoose in BC anyone else use them?
I know a couple of you have done this already. Here is how I am thinking of doing it.
Wildchild rail extension from 144" to 151"
Move the skid back 3"
Raise the back mount about a inch
add extravert's
Cut the skid back to make room for the extravert's
And find a tunnel extension from a 151...
