She can even track you at home on her phone as you ride, if you let her, that is. Set the in reach to track, and it will drop markers on intervals of your choosing, the people can follow on a map at home.

Why would you have discussions while you're sledding, just use it when you need it. To each their own, but I like the message received verification. Also, to be able to give details of the conditions your in, invaluable!

Not that I want to get into it, but pretty sure that's a myth. Unless it a sonic boom from a low flying jet or a massive explosion at close range in extreme avalanche conditions, noise will not trigger a slide.

Yes, at one time I would fit in this category, and people are not telling me to F off, probably mainly because they see what I'm trying to do. Lastly, in advertising, they call it an attention grabber. Not trying to be offensive, just trying to get those who wouldn't typically read a "...
Keep in mind, there is a fair to good chance you may become separated from you sled (willingly or unwillingly). So either double up what's on your sled, in your pack, or keep the most important stuff in your pack!

Having same issue, throttle side is bad, break side is not really anything out of the ordinary. Has any one talked to a dealer, mine told me to put on an idler wheel kit that they sell for $80. Does any one els see an issue with this, like buying a new car with 3 wheels. Than once you...
trip 2 went a lot better, but this just about sums it up. It will do whatever you want it to, in untouched 20" plus snow. Try to ride the tracked up with a little crustyness to it, and you than become nothing more than a passenger the controls the speed!
Just got an inreach explore, works great and love everything about it. Even used it for a sledder that lost his way, the first time I had it out! 100 hour battery life, 2 way communication, message received verification, and a way for some one to at home to initiate communication! That last...
Nope, but you could if you don't have the right gear!
Unfortunately non of the people who could use this advice, probably never visit this page. It would be nice if there was a way to put a friendly reminder of what one should have before entering the back country on each "snow conditions...
Don't mean to get all preachy, but for the love of god, if all you have is a beacon, shovel, and probe, get some F'n radios if you carry nothing els!!! As well, make a plan with your riding partners to check in with them if its been 5 or 10 minutes since the last sighting! Radios can make the...
Is it really that complicated, the oil issue I mean? I asked a builder about oil after boosting and he told me that he sets the oil back to break in mode. I'm no doctor, but he made it sound simple.
We did our best to help out a couple of boys that we found hiking on Bell, after abandoning their sleds and loosing their father. Got in touch with S&R, waited with the boys till S&R showed up, than guided them to the last place we saw the headlight of missing sledder. Than we assisted by...
Here's my take, and this is coming from some one who owned or still owns; summit 99/600 & 02/700 05RT/1000 09/800, Cat 08/TM8 09/m1000, and now, you guessed it 15 174"T3/800. Again, this was on some weird snow, 1-2' of heavy wet on 6' of soft fluffy bottomless stuff. I found the easiest way to...
Not sure what year or size motor or model. Picked it up for kids, ended up getting a Minnie z instead. Have hood and seat, just needs to be put together, all in great shape. $650 OBO.
Looking for a pipe, and a y pipe if possible. The sled is just a run around sled for home, so not looking to spend a lot of money on it. Any help would be appreciated!
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to trouble shoot this one. I have not rode this sled for 3 years due to trying to fine a new can. Finally found one and took it for a spin. Starts and runs fine, but when i crack it open, she shoots to 7000 rpm than dies down to...
