I know but trust me when I say there is a huge difference between 8000-8100 and 7600-7800 RPM... im talking BIG difference... the difference between me digging for hour or not! but I appreciate your concern... :-)
For those of you who don't know my previous problems: "at hammer down" on my throttle I was only getting 7600-7800 RPM... I came on here seeking advice and got the following listed below until I tried the last one which seemed to work for what ever reason... PLEASE READ and let me know why...
Hey my fellow snowbro's and snowHo's... I was hoping to find a local riding area half decent not to tracked out for this weekend... Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks in advance,
Tanner
I plugged in and checked all my sensors coming out of my engine controller. I then mounted both the pressure and temp sensor close to the pods. However!; when I first started it up and rip down the ditches this past weekend... it would REV around 8100 RPM and hall DONKEY! all the power I want...
So I still dont have it running at peak... Its snappy and can dig through anything I through at it today with all this fresh pow... However its rpm is @ 7600 max hammer down... it was at 8100 when I first started it up... i think its because it reaches a certain temp effecting my program... what...
I remounted the sensor near the pods. also found my pressure sensor flapping around under the light mounted that around the pods aswell... about to go start it and see if there is any difference. Also had ngk 8's in for spark plugs skidoo recommends 9's burns hotter. only thing left is possible...
well Martin Equipment say if you goto pods it never works quite the same again properly. because the program cant get a reading from the sensor... making it the machine appear warmer then it truly is. This in return makes the program to run FAT REALLY REALLY FAT!
he said they never really got...
Well I'm take it apart and clean it all up like Summit Rick suggested. if the problem persists. I will try EVERYTHING ELSE!!! lol... try it all something will work!
Thanks again for your help guys!
i would think so. Its factory except body panels, clutch, pipe, and pods...
so what your saying is the thermostat is preventing the engine from burning hotter?
Well
I finally got my sled back together after I had a yard sale with it a couple months back in Mcbride. I had it out this weekend at the lake. 2500 feet elevation and it was running super fat. It was also doing this in Mcbride but not as bad... could this be the programming? or some other...
If anyone knows of anyone with a 2005-2007 RT 1000. I want some parts.
Which ones specifically Im not sure yet. Will know more tomorrow. Just planting the seed.
Thanks in advance,

LOL! I know what your saying... cause I was telling the old lady about it and I said "by the time I got back up on the trail un-aware of where I was... The guy who seen it all had already sprinted up to come find me..."
Nothing like the 100m dash all geared up in 12s flat! we should start the...
I work till 5. but after that im open... what are your plans this week? Im gonna rip my sled apart at csp. no room in andrews garage. I might move it to his garage this weekend, depending on what the total damage is...
Why whats up, you need me to help?
Well first trip of the year for some of us was this past weekend in Mcbride. We rode Belle which had foot or foot and half in spots.
Any of the high wind blown areas had some land mines waiting for you if happen to be riding down created some mechanical carnage for some of us. Me included. I...
