If I didn't see intermediate or advanced rider I would not have recommended gorman. An intermediate or advanced back country rider will know avalanche conditions and its dangers. Gorman has great climbs and I wouldn't avoid it if you know your stuff.
Cant go wrong with quartz creek, gorman and silent pass for first timers. Long logging road in for silent and radio required. But should be plowed to 48 km marker.
I was going to start from etherington parking lot. I would say it is for advanced riders. I was seeing 5-10 cms of snow on wednesday but that has changed unfortunately. Hopefully the weather can drop something this week.
Definitely happy with my denali deck. We all superglide the deck and ramp anyways. I do my own personal touch with wiring as well. Little bit of elbow grease to get the super clamps to work as they use a larger bolt amd nut. 1550 bucks it doesnt get any better. If you want all the bells...
Look for heavy heeled clutch weights. Lots to choose from, I currently have heavy hitters. Regear!!! I feel for the belt drive guys. These things are geared way too high. 20-46 for me and I have never looked back. Unbelievable how these machines perform with proper gearing for mountains.
Mount your rear skid hole 1 inch higher. Realign track and ride. Your Apex will feel 300 pounds lighter up front and keep it out of the snow. Best mod for any Apex mountain.
Polaris set this skids for climbing and not alot of ski lift. The limiter strap is not the issue, it is the front skid location. Drill the lower hole in the assault location and mount. Watch your ski lift now, you will be cat walking everywhere. It will also trench alot more so...
