it is your belt behind the pull start assemblly. Looks like a sewing machine belt. Unfortuantlly you will likely have some piston and jug damage. Check Belt, Do compression test. Remove Y pipe and inspect. Unforuatlly I think you are about to have a bad day... speaking from experience....
Update. Parts for the pro shipped yesterday. Dealer said Machine will be ready for thursday. Heading over for a (Demo) or as they said (we will have something) this afternoon. I think Mamma has the demo's so this will be a surprise.

Hey Rowdy, make sure you check the chain as well. Pull the cover for a clean up and inspect the chain very close. 06 were great machines but that was one possible weak spot. I have seen broken links but still attached to the main chain so you have to have a good eye.

Went in Sunday the 25th, great day. 6-8 inches at 12 k (unload). Trail is good, 1 ft at the bottom of the burn and over 2 ft of fresh up top on Sat night. Base is coming, lots of fresh. still have to keep an eye out for the stumps/ rocks. I would say we are on. let the season begin.
