I just talked to Super Dave, he was going to start pumping water off his track, theres still a lot of snow up there too. He said maybe the end of the month.....
I've read about a lot of Dmax issues that guys had that were solved with a new fuel filter. It's a long shot but it's cheap and easy to do.
Do you know anyone with EFILive? They could do an injector balance rate check for you and would likely cost a lot less than a stealership would charge...
I was thinking about this a couple years ago, I figured if you cut up a crazy carpet or 2 you could make up a decent skirt that closed up the gap from the deck to the bed rails.
'01-03, LB7 Motor, had some injector problems and they were quite labor intensive to repair.
04-06 LLY, injector issues cleared up for the most part after 05 I think, some LLY's run hot if you're towing a lot.
06.5-07 LBZ. considered the best motor by some, lacks some emissions equipment...
Good find here by my Bro.
Wish I didn't need the box on my truck.......
2004 Chevrolet Suburban/Yukon XL Diesel SUV - Edmonton Cars For Sale - Kijiji Edmonton Canada.
Theres some good advice here.
Don't bother with the air filter on a Dmax. It's fine. Dodges gain with an aftermarket one, you likely wont.
Delete the DPF and get a tune. If you can use some restraint, you may find that you get better mileage on the bigger/ biggest tune. Beware that your...
I wish.... I'm realy happy with the Bilstein 5100's I put in my Chevy, and good advice on the HRT guy. I think he's the one that sold my brother new suspension for his 24v, plus Bilsteins, and it rides great now.
Wow I was looking at a set of these but quickly wrote them off for use on a heavy truck just cause I had never heard of them, thought they'd be junk. Good to know.
Have y'all disabled the auto-lights function on your truck? When you start your truck you turn the lights on ( ACC key position ) then off ( when starting ) then back on when running. Very hard on HID's to go on-off -on like that.
Thats what I read anyways, I disabled the auto lights on...
Yeah I hear you. There are certainly worse roads but not many places get more snow falling than there. At least it's nice and wide in most places.
Sounds like it was a good move to me. Thanks from all the people with loved ones on those roads.
This isn't a fine line. A dealer trying to sell you some stuff is different than cords showing on some of the nastiest roads in western Canada.
Good call. warranty is only for defects...... if a U joint blew up a week after you got it they should warranty it, but not now. They're cheap and not worth getting your dealer involved over.
If you grab the front DS near either U joint and shake it can you feel any play?
If you can prove that the U-joints are good, then I would reccomend getting a custom front drive shaft made with a double cardon joint. Basically it's a double joint, so that they share the angle. I had one on my truck when it was lifted, and I traded it for a stocker when I removed the...
I was researching up a bit last winter on TRX1's and there are quite a few with 5k miles that guys have no trouble with. They basically can't kill 'em. IIRC the RX1 is the stoutest of the Yammy motors, which says a lot.
lol nice.
