LMAO !! Multiple engines. Lots of people got lucky though, as I did with Polaris. Considering how many 800 and 900 (866) Polaris engines went boom, I consider myself very fortunate that it never happened to me.
I have bunks as well and they’’re covered with UHMW. IMHO, it’s not worth taking a chance to save 30 seconds by unhooking everything before wheels are in the water.
Saturday, the 4th we launched on Harrison Lake for the first time. Green Point day use area is awesome with a fantastic concrete launch. First traveled to Rainbow Falls. Very well built dock there and a quick five minute hike to
the falls. Well worth it. Left there and did the 16 km run to Long...
Here’s a video of the fire by Hinton earlier today when it was only 10 hectares. It’s now grown to 350 hectares and moving east. So far, Hinton, Edson, and Robb are not threatened.
For many others, it was great. For my wife and I, not so good. I couldn’t get my trolling speed low enough. Lots of people getting fish over 4 lbs., up to 8 lbs., trolling flies at 0.7 - 1 mph. I couldn’t keep my boat under 2-2.5, hence the need for a kicker or another interim solution.
My wife and I just returned from a one week trip to Sheridan Lake with the realization that we need a kicker for our Hewescraft 200 Pro V ET. It has an F150 Yamaha and even dragging two 5 gallon pails, we could not get below 2.5 mph. My question is, does Yamaha offer power tilt on an F15 as well...
So far, it’s been tough going. We’’’ have seen a few nice fish and lots of small ones coming into the resort, but no where near the numbers of big fish as seen in years past.
Awesome pics, but that’s a pretty big pond. Where are you fishing out there ? I’’’ve only ever fished by Captain’’s Village Marina by Scotch Creek. In years past, I’’ve caught many nice rainbows in that area.
