Yes, that's what the manual says. But is it easier to pull the bearing behind the secondary? OR pull both gears and the chain, then the chaincase and pull the disc off the shaft?

Is the way the manual tells you to do it the easiest? or am i better pulling the gears and chain case?

ya, the disc is moving about 2-3 inchs back and forth. Seems excessive to me.

Hey guys, it seems the old steed has some excessive play in the disc brake. I've checked the manual and it says to remove the secondary clutch then the bearing and then the jack shaft to get it out. Is this the easiest way to do this? thanks, Barnes

It seems i had some bolts come loose, and ate the starter recoil on my 03 summit, also seems like the key way on the brake has come loose. Seems expensive, i guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Its still an 800CC 2 stroke engine, top ends should be freshened up once every 2 seasons (depending how much you ride). Make sure the engine warms up properly before getting into the throttle. Also make sure the carbs are jetted properly and there are no cracks in the intake boots. Then your set!

Haha, not much of a market for a 2003 Summit with a new engine in it... I'd be lucky to get back what I spent on the engine.

Honestly, I was checking out this bike because i had a chance to trade it for my sled. The guy has since backed out, we'll see what happens in the spring.
