Ya fording isn't something to just check out... Ud prob not find it, it's quite a crazy journey through some not so fun stuff... And ya back there avi gear is a def must... Around cataract u don't need gear as it's mostly trails trees meadows... I'd say if u got the wife cataract is a good place...

Take the roads to Longview then it's like 40km west on a dead ended (closed at gate) road to the parking lots... Or u could sled there from elk ford, but I'd recommend the the first option... Lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I'll be out there tomorrow... I'm sure there will be lots a ppl... I've always found someone to ride with by just tourin around and chatting with ppl... I got a buddy bringing his snowboard so intense riding is out of the question but ur more than welcome to tag along if u don't link up with...

Pretty sweet day... slept in... missed the crew i was guna ride with... but found another... awesome day... stayed on the AB side... had 6"-14" of fresh... only 3" in the parking lot was able to hear at least 4 HUGE slides within 20 mins... and saw the aftermath of many more... be careful...

sled is loaded on truck... what time are ppl unloading at?

Whoa! what a day! 3 of us ventured out into whiteout conditions... bout a foot of brand new dusty fresh had already covered up our tracks in.. on the way out we were a group of 10 blindly searching for the trail out... zero viz... thank god for multiple gps's! everyone/every sled made it out...

Was a pretty good day over at fording... all the snow has settled/been wind blown... but protected areas still have some deep spots... (if we didnt find them all today!) heading out tomorrow to make sure nothing is left untouched... etherington pking lot 9am...

your more than welcome to come, its a great area back there... meet at the etherington parking lot, its about the 6 km down the 940... turn off is to the right... the main one (cataract parking) is i think around the 13km...
