    Tandem Tow setup

I did at the time. Pulled with an 06 2500 Duramax.

    Tandem Tow setup

literally pulled tens of thousands of kilometres with all types of trailers. Need to get the tongue weight right and pull at least level or slightly high. Trailer nose below level has never worked for me. Not enough tongue weight then fish tailing will be your friend especially on a bumper...

    Tandem Tow setup

The setup I had was a 29' General Coach Corsair and originally pulled a two place single axle 12' Triton. It pulled ok, each pulled great separately. I bought a tandem 12' Floe (tandem axles are separated too) and pulled this set up for 8 years. The key was to keep the nose up slightly and...

    Alberta Budget

I don't think so! The market is the USA. We are burdened by transportation costs just to get the product to market and by the highest labor and equipment costs in the western hemisphere. In addition, it takes years to get permits to conduct exploration and production activities compared to...

    Alberta Budget

Great points. Raising Corporate Tax or Royalties would only take investment and jobs out of Alberta. The oil and gas industry is moving away as it is and we don't need to speed up this exodus! Although I dont like these changes anymore than anyone else, truth is, the quality of life we enjoy...

    Tandem Tow setup

Best to pull with he nose of the trailer(s) slightly high. The proper hitch weight is very important (about 15%). I had this set up for years. The best thing I did was change the quad trailer from a single axle to a tandem - stopped all sway behind the fifth.

    Recession just around the corner?

Good point. Unfortunately we have barely scratched the surface. Clearly hurtful for those that have already been directly affected, however I don't think we will see the depth of this slow down until at least Q4 of this year or Q1 next year. We are in about month five of lower prices. We...

    Recession just around the corner?

There has not been a new refinery in Canada in decades, just can't get public/regulatory support.....so the product gets shipped to refineries in the USA.

    $12,000 t3

I don't think it's fair to belittle those that are making these decisions. Not everyone has enjoyed the same success and wealth as BRP, the dealers and the salesmen. Since 1999 it's been quite a run (ask Snopro what it was like to be a Skidoo dealer in the black and white days). Better...

    $12,000 t3

Maybe you are right. I am not in sales and have no interest in selling sleds! When I started this thread way back in early December, a lot of people thought I was full of sh!t. How could a $17,000 sled be worth $12,000 only a few months later. Well, I always thought the t3 was a $12,000 sled...

    $12,000 t3

I sold many sleds after a year or two of riding and did very well too. We are in a different time. Dealers are discounting the unsold sleds by thousands of dollars just to get them out the door - destroying the used market. Why would I buy a year old SP 163 for $12,700 when I can buy a brand...

    $12,000 t3

The economy is going to get far worse before it gets better. I give the guys credit for getting out of their sled while they still can. That t3 will not be worth $14k next fall. It's far better for those who need the money to pay off bills or whatever instead of waiting. if fact, I would bet...

    2016 Snow Check Pricing

Thanks! I have been watching the 2 stroke turbo evolution on the etec and thanks to a lot of R&D work on the part of the "consumer," I think most of the bugs are worked out (with the Impulse Kit anyway). Maybe it's time to take a few bucks out of the US account and go get one.

    $12,000 t3

I am with you. For years, I have been loyal to a few exceptional dealers (Mr. R's - Milo, Windsor RV - GP). These were great dealers/great people and great shops. Then the BRP revolution took hold. Go into a Martin's, Stojan's, Turple Brothers', Bow Cycle. They are all the same and they all...

    2016 Snow Check Pricing

Lots have been listed and sold (ad is up then gone) in the $13-$14k range. There will be no problem finding one before the 2016's show up. I feel sorry for the guys trying to get $14k for their new 2015 - never rode it and either need the cash or can't afford the payment. BTW, there are a...

    2016 Snow Check Pricing

That is about $3500 to $4000 or 25-30% more an buying a 2015 t3 (still in break in mode with one year less warranty - 3yrs). One hell of a premium to pay for the same sled.

A Revy Sled Bum's Tale: Another Season with Lilduke

Great riding and very steep sidehill. The uphill ski is barely cutting in, pretty easy to roll the sled.

    Recession just around the corner?

Oil storage is at historic highs in North America. On Shore Caverns and Off Shore Tankers will all be full by summer. Then the oversupply will stop because there will be no place to ship the oil. The oil and gas needs to get through the system before any price recovery will happen and this...

    Recession just around the corner?

Companies are bearing down, selling off equity (unheard of) to pay down debt or put a few bucks in the bank to pay the bills. This wouldn't be happening if the oil and gas price had bottomed out or was expected to rise in the near future. I think we are in for the long run (12-18 months) and I...
