I bought the Honda 3000ic.. I keep it in the back seat area of my duramax when we are not around the camp... at 80lbs it is really easy to lift in for locking it up. A little tabby at $2500.

I have to agree that the Clamp should be used until the new part shows up.. the piece of mind alone. How ever I do not even know what the clamp looks like...but it does sound like a Band-Aid to a problem that should be addressed.
