I will agree. It is ok untill some flakes off. Then try to get that s$%t off! Not gonna happen (don't ask how I know). Get the right stuff to do it. If you don't have the technology to put the right stuff on, then take it to someone who does. It will save alot of agrivation! Trust me!
Just sold mine. No serious problems with it. After it was snorkled it was much better in the water. Had about 4500 miles on it when I rebuilt the engine, wasn't burning oil, put in a h/c piston and cam. The 02 has different axles and wheel bearings then the rest of the years. My only complaint...
Best mods done to mine were the pipe (HMF Penland), Mudbuster cam/Wiseco piston combo, clutch kit (EPI mudder) and snorkles. Not much of a difference with cdi box (removes limiters wich is nice but doable for much cheaper). I also have a stroker crank in mine but now have to run race fuel blend...
Got it yesterday. Looks real good. Got it put on and sounds good. Gonna try it out on the weekend. Did you have to change jet size with it? Thanks again for the good deal and prompt shipping. Ron.
Have a set of wheel bearings handy as well. if you have many wet miles they will most likely be toast. The aftermarket ones are as good as the Honda ones and way cheeper!
Sorry to hijack but tell me more on the dragon fire deal. On the carb thing, my bud has one on his grizz and it has awsome throttle response cause it is a pumper style carb. Also easy to tune.
my wife's does this from time to time. It seems to be the worst when there is a heavy electical load (fan on) then it will be fine after the fan shuts off.
If you apply the rear brake it will start in gear. Or you can pull the switch out of the handbrake perch and it will start in any gear without applying the brake.
Yuo can also rinse out crankcase with a bit of diesel for your first change. DON"T START IT WITH DIESEL IN IT. This usually cleans up the cases good. Then a couple of Walmart oil changes and cheep filters and your good to go. Start saving for a motor rebuild as you will most likly need one soon...

I did my 4th at the local college and we used the SAIT course. The text books were very good with enough info to get you though the tests. If you worked around a power plant would definatly make it easier. Our classroom had an operational steam plant in it. Seeing something in a book then get to...
