I guess my question was, is there a market for a better sled for more money? right now there is essentially 1 offering.. X - SP.. same thing in everyone's opinion. Deep discounts mid season because of oversupply have killed resale value of anyone's sled. My low mileage 13 is probably worth $7000...
What's the most people would pay for a sled like this? (noticeable HP gain, no turbo, skid improvement, significantly less snow hangup on the boards and tunnel, 600RS clutch, 20 lb weight loss, other cool stuff that people like, etc)
If the same T3 is still offered at 14500 or so, would this...
You going to live in the back country the rest of your life? No ! You would die if you did that!. So, you have to drive on the highways AND sled. Not either or. No problem though.. Motor vehicle deaths per 100 million miles driven have been trending down for 40 years to all time lows. Nonsense...
"I don't give a crap if someone doesn't believe me"

It doesn't matter that driving kills more people than sledding. Sledding in the back country is a million times more risky. I don't care what anyone says. If you juggle knives, wrestle bears, etc your more likely to die than someone who doesn't. Pretty simple.

Groundhog east today. Snow was nice at the treeline and below. Firm storm layer above. Was good... Was expecting great. Parking lot was at least as full as I've seen.

Snowed moderately in allen all day (all throughout the valley I'm sure) snow varied between 30-40 cms in areas on top of a firm base to 2' or so.

Anyone know if that new clutch would fit on the current crank shaft?
To the point of a major overhaul (chassis/suspension/engine/clutch everything) I think you can rule that out based on current market conditions. (inventory carryover being the result/problem) I am hoping for what others have...
You'll have to offer some cash. Or hire a guide. There have been 2 examples of bad situations that have come from this sort of thing in the past month.

Run w/e clicker it needs to get peak power. These 800 r's have always needed 81-8200 rpm. I guess if that's 'screaming' then yes, it needs to be screaming. I'm not sure why they can never make these run proper revs without clicker 5/6. Makes me think these things have lot of power being...
I don't think what you did, Cameron, is different from what any sledder would do. You gave them space and didn't bother them with your noise. OK.. As opposed to what? Yelling obscenities at them? Pushing them over and wiping snow in their face? Beating them to death? It's been said in this...
Was in red Sands today. Hadn't been many dudes in until now. Lots of fresh lines. Not quite the case now, but still a good amount left. The sun seems to have settled the snow, lots of traction out there.

You could either stop in at the glacier hotel in town and they will give you the trail maps. Or you could drive 15-20kms south of blue and look for the finn Creek sign. That's where you will pull in. From there you can ride groundhog east and west, foam Creek, or Salmon.

Rode Salmon today. Snow was good. Not super fresh, but deep and soft enough. I would recommend this place right now. Access is good. :)

Come on. No. If someone who didn't care about sledding, helicopter skiing, or any animal, asked what the deal was with sledders and Reindeer, the answer would be the stupid tracks that they make for the predators. That was my point. A couple people mentioned that when they saw the animals...
I think you misunderstood my point. Caribou are a stupid species of animal and when they are extinct in 50 years no one will gaf. Keep taking away the riding areas and they'll have nothing left to threaten to take away.

I'm not sure everyone understands why snowmobiles are a concern for caribou. The tracks are a path for predators to make their way up to the delicious Caribou. 'startling' animals is not a concern for even the nerdiest of animals activists.
