A lot of posts here from people excited about turbos.. why don't more of you run them? They've been available for so long now.. What are they like $9000 with tax installed? That's nothing for most of you on here.
Why would BRP or the general sled buyer for that matter trust BRP to have clutching, motor mounts, heat, belt life, track durability etc sorted out for 180+hp?
I thought it was pretty clear from the clip that it was a rotax 2stroke. And why would a turbo even be a game changer in 2020 anyways? If you want one, all it takes is money. Been around for 10+ years.
I doubt turbo or any other engine thing. That's not really what BRP is about.. They are onto something with the expert as far as making a sled move through deep snow more efficiently. It's like adding hp without adding hp. I bet it's along those lines. Maybe skid/suspension related. A snowbike...
Every year for 10 years people have been making posts telling others to keep quiet about this place. It's not a secret. There is a snow and mud thread about conditions every year. Grail, blue, horseshoe are mentioned often enough. The Finn parking lot overflows to the Highway on weekends when...
Hi gang. Looking to see if any snow and mud lurkers would be into meeting up at some point this winter to to go sled skiing at either Crystal Ridge or any of the sled areas. My riding buddy doesn't mind giving me a lift 3-4 times a day but I don't want to it to take away from his riding any...
I'd say Blue River is nearing max awareness. That groundhog parking get's filled up quick when conditions are good. The two hotels never have space if you wait till the Monday before to book.
They don't need 4 different models when the 'cheap one' is only $1250 less than the good one. Here's what I would offer if I was in charge.
In season model. All the small mid cycle updates that don't cost anything. Spindles, bars etc. and the barely acceptable X pack shocks. (anything less is...
Did Doo really need to come up with another model (expert)? Couldn't they could have just made all these improvements to the X and FR. None of this stuff adds any cost to the sled. And I can't see how any of these changes make the ride worse for someone who doesn't consider them selves an...
Re: 800 etec destroys Yammi turbo x2
This proves that in this instance a snowmobile operator wanted to go straight up a hill, probably because he wanted to. While another snowmobile operator(s), decided to take more of an ark. Again, probably because that's where they wanted their snowmobiles...
Sneaky? Smoke and mirrors? You have all the info you need in order to make an informed decision after one conversation with a dealer and you think you're getting Billy McFarland'd. You can decide if you want a cheaper than expected price as a reward for taking a gamble on a short warranty or if...
Cat's using a $1.10-1.00 CAD-USD. 20% off of actual in our favor. hmm. American's are paying way more at home to buy a US product. US dealers and customers will love this!
I have not found this to be true. ^
To the other points being made. Maybe I've gotten lucky the last few years as I don't get out much anymore but the trail is usually more than acceptable, not counting the sections in North blue and salmon that can't be groomed. 7 - 10 years ago this wasn't...
