Just curious as to why you are not going back to the dealership your 2012 was purchased from? This time of year I am sure is a busy time of year for any brand of dealership trying to get units out the door.
I hate to say it, but I think we all know that a dealer will give first priority to new...
I agree, probably no different, I still think though that if the glue were to let go, it still "ties" the two pieces together, kind of like what a splint would do for a broken leg.......
I have Tysons clamp on right now and think it is doing its job perfectly, just that this one maybe takes it...
If the glue did happen to let go it should keep it from pulling out of the drive shaft should it not? From my eyes it is strengthening that whole assembly until Polaris can come out with a permanant fix.
I just purchased a set of this type of Clamp. I like how it encapsulates the Stub end and then clamps onto the Main shaft like the others that have made these "clamp" type fixes.
Cheap insurance in my mind until Polaris comes out with the proper permanant fix.
Over on SW, there is a post saying that a permanent fix bulletin is to be released to dealers tomorrow.
Wait and see what tomorrow brings I guess.

I have a 2012 Triton XT12 tilt with 13" rubber. I ran it last year with just the salt shield and it worked well.
This year I have added on the 2KF4X4 Highboy Cover. This is the best thing I have done. I absolutely love this combination. Total trailer weight with cover is under 850lbs. Clean...
The replacement belt I bought at Rally Motorsports in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan cost me $252 + taxes($277). I have since found out that full retail is $239

I've changed the QD belt without the tools with absolutely no problem. I did it in under 15minutes start to finish.
Took the gears off and removed the original belt. Set the gears in the new belt laying on the bench. I then used zip ties just above the bottom pulley and tightened only enough to...
Here is an excellent article written by Momma(Trish Drinkle)
It is from a very good article from Snoriders West regarding QD Belt Break in. It explains what is happening with the gears and the belt well during break in.
