1978 Chev 3 quarter ton with a 350. You can buy them for less than a grand and fix anything that breaks with a crescent wrench and a paper clip. And parts are cheap! And the truck is always only worth the amount of gas in the tank.
The kids have been out sledding a bunch in the back forty. 10 rides already this year. Although they are tearing up the front lawn when they drive them back in the garage.
Fun to watch and good riding. Terrain traps, riding above cliffs that are sluffing, riding next to your stuck buddies. Good instructional video on what not to do. Again good riders though with some b011s!
Hmmm I live in the mountains and skied about 40 times last year and rode about 30. So do I win? I can't keep up with those older retired guys in the area that do fun stuff everyday, someone has to work. I laugh as my 4 and 6 year old probably had more time in the mountains than some of the hard...
Looks like a fun place to ride. They are obviously weak sledders as not one of them is dressed head to toe in Klim gear. From what I understand this is a prerequisite to being a good rider:rolleyes:.......
I work in the bush and long line all the time. Drills, net loads, engines, wood, generators, camp supplies, etc. What is the difference between these and a sled. The heli companies in Golden and Revelstoke will be hurting without this revenue.
Can't blame a guy for trying. I sell and buy all sorts of stuff on Kijiji. When I sell I start high and when I am buying the bidding starts at "lowball".
I always thought Lumberton near Cranbrook was a good beginner place. Lots of signage, easy to get around, limited avy danger in some places. Take a course and get the gear before you head to the hills or you will just become another statistic.
Fernie Alpine Resort - October 23, 2012 - YouTube
Its not a sledding video but it shows some snow up in the hills around Fernie.
Pretty good for October 23rd!
