    Not shifting proper?

Me thinks wrong belt perhaps. Were your clutches staying dry? I have had snow coming in through my vents that got the clutches wet and as a result the belt was slipping?

    Rev sway bar removal....

If you ride in the mountains the only place for a sway bar on the REV is in the trashcan. Who cares about the trail in as long as you can rip it up in the hills.

Mandate the use of Helmets? - Provincial legislation required?

People should be able to make their own decisions. Less laws and government interference in our lives is a good thing. Wear one if you want or not that is your own call.

Carbs, love em or hate em?

Sounds like a throttle position sensor issue to me. Seen it lots of times. Easy to fix, just make sure your throttle is returning to zero both at the hand and the engine.

Quartz creek for a first timer

AVY reports started today. Sign up for the daily bulletins. Hazard is high right now with lots of snow and lots of wind. Stay away from anything on the lee as windslabs are developing there with the storm snow. Treeline and below is below threshold in a lot of places. Not sure about Quartz...

Quartz creek for a first timer

No easier place to ride in the mountains than Quartz. Not sure how the trail is right now, there may be a few tricky creek crossings. I am sure that someone else will be able to chime in about that. As for the rest of the area it is easy to get around to most of the bowls, there is a large...

    Snapped my pull cord!

The recoils on Skidoo' are notoriously weak. Good for you for fixing the rope but be aware that there is a good chance the whole thing will blow up one of these days.

    floating my clutch

No negative effect. It is a MUST do cheap mod for a REV. Also the handle bar relocation is free and makes the REV way better in the mountains.

Aren't the vast majority of areas around Creston closed now for Caribou habitat. There is a lot of red on the map indicating Roads and Cutblocks only all around Creston.

Um yes that is me in the Avatar, doing what I believe is referred to as the "Calgary Roll" to get unstuck. The roll works every time!

    looking for sled for wife

My wife is on a 06 M7 163. Those older M7's and M'6s were great sleds and very easy to maneuver for lighter people. I agree that your wife / girlfriend needs to have at least as good as sled as you. That way everyone has fun.

    Motocross Helmets

Oh man I wound't be caught dead without a full face motorcross helmet . At least 20 times in my life doing a variety of activities I would have broken my jaw if not for the full face. That being said I am sure HJC or any of the other brands make a perfectly fine helmet.
