Huh, I expected way more high and mighty opinions about this on here. It seems like the common sense of guys like Bogger and Tean Green have finally prevailed. PS there is a big difference riding in areas where it is just you and your buddies and no one else around vs. the mayhem of the popular...
What is wrong with strapping over the track for a hour while you drive to the trail head? I could see not wanting to leave it on there for the summer but what would an hour do? It is not like a wimpy 10 dollar Canadian Tire strap could stretch the track or anything.
Holy Jeebus Jvl buy the friggin pass! 80 dollars is nothing in the sledding world and there is absolutely no down side? Use a made up name if you want just help pay for the groomer fuel.
Or ride one of the millions of other non club maintained areas around the East Kootenays.

Wow a boot thread, there is a new concept. Rich guys buy the good stuff (Klim or Motorfist). Poor guys like me (read from BC) buy thrift store old snow board boots. The more money you spend the better sh!t you get.
Nuff said, please let there never be another boot thread again!
There is a club but we are not that active. I was the secretary for a year. KJB on here is the VP. I should be able to help you out with any information you might need though or pass you along to the right person. Best way to get in touch with anyone is on the Kimberley Snowmobile Club Facebook...
I would head to Fernie or Golden. Mountain towns with amenities for the ladies and good riding all around. The riding around Golden is a little easier to get to if your a newb to the area. Good skiing in either town as well. Fernie I would say is a little more upscale in the spa and dining...
