Needle Jet Adjustment on a 97ish Vmax

My buddy just called me and he is new to the sledding world and was given an older 97ish short track Vmax sled. We live in the mountains and he wants to use it on the forest service roads as an access sled for ski touring. He took it out last weekend and it was running super rich as it was a...

Dunno, maybe it's not for me

Sounds like your friends need to learn that beginners can't go the places they can. Maybe they should have taken you to some easier spots so you could learnt to ride first before you needed to do stuff with consequences attached. Kind of dickish if you ask me. Just saying....

So how has everyones season been going so far?

Motor melted down 2.5 km down the trail on day one in December. Just got it all back together and put 3 meters on it loading on the back of the truck. Now kids have ski races for the next 2 weeks so no riding. Be looking at my first real ride of the year mid march. And it hasn't snowed here in...

    RIDE golden?

If you like riding with guys who can't ride look for the dudes in white sunglasses, with lifted trucks, red plates, UFC shirts, and boosted sleds in the Quartz parking lot. But seriously I hope you find some good people to ride with.

    sad

The snow has been so crappy for so long my ski guiding buddies are telling me that operations are pushing their terrain choices. All the terrain they normally reserve for lean snow or crappy conditions has already been skied out. So in order to give their clients good snow they are taking higher...

Anyone Know where to get Dayco XTX belts in edmonton?

Warrantied a few over the years, you have to keep the original cardboard packaging as well as your receipt. Never had one denied and once I was having some clutch issues and I was blowing 2 a day. My fault as I was having clutch alignment issues but they still stood behind their product.

New rider looking for someone local to take him out and show him the ropes

At least with an older carb'd sled you can work on it in the woods if it is not running and have a hope of fixing it. With the new sleds all you can do is stare at the computer as you tie on the rope....... Hopefully someone will ride with the guy and show him what it is all about. I would...

    Awesome article on Brand Loyalty

The close minded brand loyal mentality on this forum kills me so I quite enjoyed the article. I Have owned a sled from all of the top four brands. Some were good some were bad but when I am looking to spend 14K on a new sled they need to impress me to get my money. I am going with the best sled...

Everyone keeps saying its a bad snow year.

You have been getting lucky in Fernie this year. Meanwhile us over in Kimberley are hurting. Hasn't really snow for over a month (real snow anyway). You can get out and play in the mountains but nothing is covered up properly right now so you have to pick your way through things carefully.

He like to see the raterfall

WOW does that type of snowmobiling look mind numbingly boring. I would drive off a bridge just to end it..... Not a beer to be seen? When my buddies sled is off in now mans land and we know it is going to be an epic to get it out (creavasse, creek, tree well etc) it is time to crack one and...

    Radium & Kimberly Area

Radium has Forester or Silent Pass, Silver Mine is up there as well but is a little more challenging. Kimberley has lots riding but it is harder to get to if you don't know where you are going. PM me and I could recommend a couple of places around Kimberley that would make a nice ride for you...
