And that's pretty much how I think. I had a buddy say just re-use the o-rings on my dirt bike and I was like WTF? For like 10 bucks why not replace them?
Funny thing is we're both mechanical engineers, albeit both extremely cheap.. lol.
Thanks for the help. I'll call around tomorrow and...
Had any of you guys had luck removing the head and re-using the existing o-rings?
Wanting to take a peek in there and have most of the stuff off the engine right now so only felt right. Just don't want to take it off without all the parts to put it back together. On top of that I'd have to...
Not sure what the page says, but Ghost and Silvan both have it sometimes.
Or trail ride in Wiaprous/IG with studed tires.
Mclean is closed I believe Dec 1st to motorcycles.
Althought I do enjoy the store, I refrain from purchasing most items from them.
MEC actively supports and trys to shut down many motorized sports in the back country. Both sled and atv/dirt bike.
If you aren't hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, or XC biking, MEC is working against you.
Although I agree with you, if you are talking about my comment you are mistaken about the Peips
See below:
I bought the DSP because it's simple. Stupidly simple and works. It was constantly reviewed and continues to be reviewed as one of the best beacons. I doesn't have settings, yet has...
There was sleds at the hotel across from Mcdicks/Cattlebaron on 32nd/barlow last week. I was wondering WTF they were going... At that time the mountains were dry and dusty.
I can understand both sides of the arguement.
I'll admit I'm not overly informed of the costs some of the BC clubs go through. I do not know of the maintenance and running costs of a groomer. Therefore my previous comment of twice a day groomer was maybe out of line, but I have seen it done...
Good advice. Don't buy cheap anything in safety related items.
I use a Pieps DSP beacon, ABS 30L Vario, BCA aluminum shovel (two parts and telescopic) and have two probes. A 1.8 meter probe that came with the shovel and I think a 2.8 meter.. or is it 3.2? Either way it's the larger diameter...
I think it's pretty simple as for what to do. As mentioned, the RCMP are just doing their job. I don't blame them.
A sled that's poorly fastened can fall off. Having a 600 lb sled tumble down the highway is a safety concern for everybody.
Follow the rules and everything will be good.
I've...
Nope. One way valve.
Usually either pressures up, or starts coming out the axle joints.
Easy thing to do. I do it every couple rides when the sled is clean.
I was looking into one for my first sled. Bought a 06 REV instead and have never looked back.
Seen a few on the trail, seen even fewer with people who have said good things about them.
I agree.
When they charge and the trail is in bad shape I'm a little pissed.
It's also nice for those areas who groom twice a day so the trip back is relaxing and fun verses painfull and slow.
Quick note, just so you know how much space you need, all your survival gear and safety stuff should be on your back, and not on the sled. There are lots of posts with things to pack on here, but I suggest 20-30 liters for sure. A good pack will carry the weight well.
I have my ABS 30l about...
Cold siezing generally considers the expansion of the cylinder vs piston. Not crank..
I think you are talking about a different problem.
08's had the weak drive shafts that snapped and tinfoil frames.... lol
I'm not sure. I only looked at them at the time I was buying and at the time there wasn't much knowledge as to why they were all siezing/going with such low mileage.
