Looking to take my kids out this winter and do a bit of ditch riding in and around the Okotoks area. Has anyone ever rode the ditches around here and more importantly, does the sheep river freeze up enough so that can you ride sections of the river at all? I've seen tracks around the river at...

The ones above are the Summit Racing ones and are about $280 from Summitt on eBay. There are cheaper ones from GlobalIndustrial.ca - Material Handling Equipment|Workbenches|Furniture|Tools|Motors|HVAC for less than $200 but the wheels don't look as good.

I still have an old set of car dollies kickin around and tried them out with a sled I just got today. Loaded the skis onto them and road it across the rough asphalt to the garage no problem at all. Threw a third under the track and wheeled the sleds across the concrete apron and into the garage...

It's funny now that I think about it. I was 10 when I used to ride one of these at WOT all the time. Quick sleds back in the day. 78 SRX 440

Seven and Ten. The oldest will get his feet wet me over top of him before he's given the reigns to ride on his own, while the other will ride with me and mom most of the time. Might buy one smaller sled to break him in with before he works up to the bigger sleds. He likes the stock Viper 700...

Agreed...but it takes some skill to keep a 144 running in the deep out in the hills. Looking forward to getting back into this.

After 3-4 years away from sledding, I decided to get back into things and just bought a few used sleds to get my wife and my 2 boys into sledding this year. We're on an acreage just North of Okotoks and have easy access to the back roads and ditches around the area including our own field to get...

Anyone know much about this show? I'm assuming they local club has split off from the snowmobile show and is now doing their own little gig...or is this just a swap meet of sorts? I'm getting back into sledding with the family and need some gear and such. What's to be expected at Spruce Meadows...

Can't rip until I find some decent sleds. Been looking hard, but most anything decent has been long track. Might end up buying some new ones if I don't find something in the next month. Who got all the decent 144 machines? Let a couple go peoples! :)

Glen, Building another 55 now and working to close a deal on the black and silver car which will send it to California next month. Looks like a done deal at this point. I've missed sledding, and now that I can ride from my back door...I can hold out no longer. :cool:
