It's great to want that huge power but I worry that the old XP chassis would fold up like a cheap tent with all that torque. People complain about XP belt issues when they have 150 HP, I can only imagine what that 1650CC would do.:d
Slow down buddy, don't lump everyone posting on this issue as "you guys"...
I'm just trying to gather some factual data as are some others, I agree with your high elevation/hot weather statement and have seen a large rpm drop on my own sled due to this issue, however it wasn't a 1000 rpm. IMHO...
Yup!, I'm wondering what's in that chaincase also...
I thought the 04 revs with a 144' had 10 tooth drivers (your old round ones) and the ones in your picture are 8 tooth, that's a pretty large "gear down" if your just changing the lug depth and not the track length.
The fact it happened right...
I knew you swaped tracks but didn't realize you went with a longer track.
The 9940 is a 151" correct???
Did your 1000 rpm drop happen right after your track upgrade (the next ride out), or were your rpms the same as before and now all the sudden they dropped?
The last day of riding in the B.C. side of Kakwa is April 30th. the May 3rd deal is from the Alberta SRD to have all the camps out.
Check out the swan city snowmobile club website for the links to the maps that show the area boundaries as some areas are already closed.:d
I don't want steer this thread off topic BUT, I keep on seeing mudd kitty in all these sledder posts and she says she isn't a sledder... I keep wondering why? I've spent too many winter nights at the stardust inn. If a person living in High Level doesn't have a sled, what else is there to do all...

For years all my riding buddies were short guys that weighed in at 160 lbs. being the heaviest.
So at 200lbs I was/am the fatguy and fatguy was already taken so I stuck the 1 on the end. I hope it didn't piss the Original fatguy off :d
Do NOT buy Corel Video studio if your using a gopro, I had tons of problems and spent hours on the phone with tech support, tried all the "patches", had to uninstall a bunch of quicktimes stuff.... Still doesn't work. When you run the clip it locks up the program.
These were taken last night.
Someone was just being lazy on the front deck, totally unaware what was behind her... (I had to get the camera) you should have seen her move when missmuffit pointed out the moose.:d
Right above the oil pump there is a steel 90 degree "fitting" that points toward the oil tank. Then almost half way down on the oil tank is another fitting that it should connect to.
