wow. not smart at all. the slide to the right is the one we saw as we were leaving the area. any more pics of it? people like this are the reason I liked this area more when people didn't know how to get into it, or were scared to go back over the creeks and couple of crappy sections. now with...
so the pictures above are NOT the slide the guy got caught in today right?? I've got a pic of that slide from first thing this morning and there is not a track around it (see below)??? I'm glad the guy is ok, but the conditions there today yelled out disaster all over the place. we played on...
No worries!! Pretty crappy about the snobungie. I thought everyone who rode out there was part of a pretty small circle and thought it would be safe. Sorry to hear it was gone. By chance did it fall and get buried where I left it? I'm sure you guys kicked the snow around a bit just in case some...
It really only started snowing this morning, wasn't much fresh when we got there. We had a short day and were out by lunch, but our track were already covered. You could see the snow sluffing off of the rocks already it was coming down so hard and was so windy.
Oh, and I found some stuff on the...
from the staging area to the play areas shown on the videos you are about 20km. it isn't so much about the distance as it is about the conditions to go those 20km. you are looking at least 3 open creeks (could be 4 again now with all the mild weather), the exposed rocks, shale and dirt you will...
Same thing happened to me last year on the same sled. Go to the dealer and get a new key programmed. If anything else fixes it, it will only be temporary. It should be replaced under warranty, mine was.
I know the crossing at 1:42.... nice clear video, looked like a great day for it!
ps. don't give it all away!! like a wiseman once said, it is like your favorite fishing hole, you never give up the location!
It is a good area, but there is no cabin and the trail is not groomed, but it is a very short ride in.
You stage accross the road from the ski hill parking lot in the designated area, and then you head down the road past the hostel, over the bridge and follow the trail. You will get to a couple...
I honestly like it the way it is. A little grooming wouldn't hurt, but the reason it is good now is because it isn't as busy as all of the other areas. More maintance will bring more sleds which in turn will require more maintance. Maintance will also cost money, and when they don't groom the...
Couple more pictures from last Friday. As noted before, the trail over is horrible. There are parts that are completely bare down to gravel, 3 open creeks, and barely any snow on the rest of it, but the snow on the BC side is very nice!!
Saw that little critter just before Eden Valley, must be...
Great day Darrell! For sure we'll do it again. I'll try to get some more pics up tomorrow...
yes, about another foot to a foot and a half over the past 2 weeks since our last trip. really solid base on the BC side, great start to the season!
