The purple line is the AB/BC border, hence the labels all along it saying AB/BC. And everybody knows why FS is asking, and it isn't casue he wants to use the trail! I guess if you old guys put on your reading glasses and down your beer, you would actually see the trail is marked on that...

Just as a general note to everyone, if you haven't been over before, please be sure to know which areas are in and out of bounds before you go. Until you drop down into the BC side, you are not allowed to leave the trail.

The parking at the gate into Etherington is plowed. It isn't very big so space is at a premium, but you would have no issues with a 2wd vehicle.

Nakiska is a pretty good reference, and they received about 15cm.... I'm headed out tomorrow, but certainly not there! Way better snow to be found other places!!

if you are going to rent in Golden, talk to the guys at Golden Snowmobile Rentals. Best overall service by far in my experience. Great guys at the shop to deal with and very knowledgeable about the area and conditions.

We've been over... It took cutting another 6-7 logs from the point we made it too last time. Looks the same over there as every year, rocky and windy!! One nasty washout just paast the 'T' intersection, be careful. Another HUGE washout in the very back, on a flat light kinda day it could be...

We made it past all the creeks weeks ago... just ran out of time and didn't quite get all the way to the backside before we had to turn around.

Has anyone been over the pass yet??? Wondering if the trail on the BC has been opened up yet, or we still risk the chance of running into fallen timber across the trail. PM me if you don't feel like braodcasting to the world!

The area was hard hit by the flooding, if you read the previous posts by KazDog he has summed it up nicely. From Calgary, driving time is between 1-1.5hrs. I've attached a map.

I've got an older ('05) GMC and it has some rust on the underside. Now when it rains and the snow melts, it drips and it is picking up some rust so it made a small stain on my driveway. Any recommendations for a good place in Calgary to get it coated to cover up the rust? Is that even...
