I think the only diff. Is the plug in on the wiring harness. I could be wrong, but I think that I an am correct with that statement from when I had to buy one last year that seemed to be the difference between the 2000 and the '99/98

I have a Backflip on my truck and I love mine. I have not had any issues with it yet. I bought mine from recommendations from friends and family that have them and they have had no issues. I do know a couple of people with the roll and locks and they are not very fond of them in the winter...
