wouldn't they just send out rcmp/conservation boats to keep the areas clear? this one seems like a pretty simple solution to me....

also that's a pretty clear satellite image for all the smoke and ch!t I would think you would see......

I would assume you're right. with a fire like that I would guess pretty well the whole town would have pretty serious smoke damage. and anything close to the fire would have some heat damage.

at least some of the town survived it looks like. that's a good thing.

not enough controlled burning or fire management at all in the parks. every hillside is covered in dead timber just waiting to burn. tragic loss for sure but man I hope as some point the narrative can get away from climate change and get back to proper management of our forests and parks......
