Only thing stopping me from cutting her down right now is how much of a pain it was to get in there. The fit on mine was off, took me an hour to install the first time.

Did the melting trick to the cords, I found the track replacement procedure on youtube. Looks easy but I'd have to buy that puller. Figure it would take me 4-6 hours as a first timer on track swaps. How long has it taken you guys?

Tore a chunk and a strip out of my xm's 163 track two weekends ago. I've ridden nearly 4 full days on it since then and haven't noticed any cracks growing. Figure it will last me the season? (I'm picking up a new takeoff tonight but am lady and was gonna tear down the sled this summer anyways)

I emailed MBRP about it, sounds like I should take a hacksaw to mine, maybe even cut it off at an angle for good measure. Then add a deflector.

Anyone tried this? I've contacted them regarding fitment on an XM chassis (this things been around since 2007 and they don't specify what chassis it fits). It kinda looks like it would get caught on stuff (particularly when backing off my trailer).

So do I take a marker and hacksaw to the MBRP and trim it back so it's flush? Or should I find a way to extend the deflector?

No worries... It was on the side of the trail about 5 km from the parking lot. Musta fallen off over some of the whoops on the trail out.
