Looking for anyone in Calgary that has the brake rotor puller for an XP/XM skidoo. I'm swapping the track tonight but Bow Cycle doesn't rent out the puller and can't get one in for me until Tuesday.
I can buy it from you, rent it, or just borrow, your choice.
Send me a PM with your phone...
Ski-Doo track replacement on 2008+ XR,XP,XS,XM models. - YouTube
This was a pretty good video on how to do it.
If I don't have that puller, how did you guys get the brakes off?
Only thing stopping me from cutting her down right now is how much of a pain it was to get in there. The fit on mine was off, took me an hour to install the first time.
Did the melting trick to the cords,
I found the track replacement procedure on youtube. Looks easy but I'd have to buy that puller.
Figure it would take me 4-6 hours as a first timer on track swaps. How long has it taken you guys?
As you can see, the strip came off the inside, just rubber, the whole way round the track. Not too worried about it.
The chunk is about 3/4" into the track, I've trimmed back the paddles and rounded the edges of the chunk. I drilled out the ends of the cracks in the paddles, and they'll...
Tore a chunk and a strip out of my xm's 163 track two weekends ago. I've ridden nearly 4 full days on it since then and haven't noticed any cracks growing. Figure it will last me the season? (I'm picking up a new takeoff tonight but am lady and was gonna tear down the sled this summer anyways)
I've been having issues with my Spot tracker lately. Some of the messages aren't getting through. In McBride (Renshaw) I musta hit the check-in button 10 times, only 1 message got through. I was not impressed. I called spot, they promised a Tech guy would call me back, which never happened. I'll...
I strongly suggest everyone take a look at this and give some feedback to the government before the January 15 closing date! This will affect dirt bike and ATV trails, random camping and even access to areas on foot.
Eg: Page 53, the whole Livingston area is declared 'green area' and on page...
Hell, this deflector is basically a piece of angle iron bolted to sled. I could try that...
Ski-Doo - Universal Exhaust Outlet Snow Deflector - Starting Line Products
Anyone tried this?
I've contacted them regarding fitment on an XM chassis (this things been around since 2007 and they don't specify what chassis it fits). It kinda looks like it would get caught on stuff (particularly when backing off my trailer).
My 2013 XM SP is still bogging on right hand turns in powder. No issues turning left so I figured it was the exhaust getting plugged but the snow wasn't very deep last weekend and it was doing it worse than ever. Those right turns to go back up in deep snow is exactly where I need the sled to...
As usual, the news was quick to jump to the conclusion that it was a sledder. It was a skier. He suffered a broken arm.
