Looks like it would pack up with snow/ice really bad, anyone have one of them?
Not cheap at $360 USD... plus shipping, but if it's a stronger bumper, a grip&rip s-module brace, and a skid plate all in one, then it might be worth it.
Anyone got a cheaper/better bumper suggestion or a local...
Anyone traveling from Golden to Calgary this week? I need parts from Motortech brought in to Calgary before I can go sledding this weekend. PM me, there's a case of beer in it for ya.
Pick up from motortech in Golden (A-arm), and I'll pick it up from ya in Calgary.
Post or PM me,
Thanks,
Just curious if this is possible to do, or if anyone has done it before?
I've always had a problem with the extra/often hidden charge for PDI/set up fees, for anything, not just sleds.
Near as I can tell, it's pretty darn simple to do myself... and seeing as I normally strip the sled back...
And even with this bad year for sleds, only one dealership is selling the 2015's at anywhere close to cost. And a bad year for snow usually means a good year for quads, sxs, motorcycles, boats, jet skis, and other stuff... so the dealers aren't hurting that bad this year.
In the past, I've had more luck with my non-local dealer than my local dealer when it came to warranty work, turn around time and getting it fixed (As Oler said, Motortech in Golden is awesome).
And if these sleds truly work the way skidoo expects them to, I shouldn't need any warranty work...
Sounds like the guy at bow cycle was out to lunch on all southern Alberta dealerships being the same price... Cochrane dealer says they've got a better price, waiting for them to tell me what it is.
So Bow Cycle is offering MSRP plus tax for their Snow check this year (no special deals). For a 2016 Summit X, 163 T3 with 4 year warranty that comes to $16,400 Out The Door. I was also told that all the southern alberta dealerships are offering the same pricing this year and that I wouldn't...
Still haven't heard from anyone with the 3.6L Pentastar in a dodge truck who has tried to tow a 4000lb trailer.... there's gotta be someone out there with one?
Fish cops gave our truck a full search, not sure what kind of legal right they to do that, I thought they were RCMP until I noticed the patch after the search. They found one empty (from a previous day of course) and gave us **** but no fines.
The snow will be pretty set up by Saturday, won't be soft pow anymore at least, but a bad day sledding beats a good day of anything else so go anyways.
Can't add much about which pack is good, I've got an old float 30 that weighs a ton, I wouldn't recommend it.
But as for water, keep it on your sled, having it in the backpack really weighs you down and will tire you out quick. And if the bottles/bladder break or burst, you'll have a soggy...
